as a man well versed in the moves of the old-school, fabio monesi launches his albion imprint with the immaculately executed styles of 623, full of sexy 90s synth notes and crisp, pumping beats. washerman brings a more rugged style on his remix of the tune, dropping in some cheeky and thoroughly familiar samples, while the melody wobbles around an amorphous scale. the peephouse finds monesi reaching back to the soothing organ tones of the dx7, with a gentle and piano-driven throw down that stills carries plenty of heft for the floor. rio padice steps up for another remix of 623 and spreads a strange and nervous shape-shifter of a late-night jam, scattering the vocals like confetti and nudging the drums out of joint on a whim.

>church of the real< is the tape 4th studio album by danish indie band i got you on tape, but only the second album to be released in europe, following the 2010 release of their award winning breakthrough album spinning for the cause. the new album went straight to no. 1 in the charts when it was released in the fall of 2011 in denmark.

its been three years since ghosts on tape (a.k.a. ryan merry) last released an ep of his own, and while the san francisco-based producer has remained busy on the remix front, many have likely missed the transformation hes undergone in the interim.

the summer is bad as always in munich, but that is no reason to not have fun and spreading out the fire cuts. the 12 inch starts off with anisa, dedicated to marcos lady in mind and partner in wine. the eastern influences from his hood arent easy to ignore, and if u listen very carefully u can feel and smell the shisha dust inside the landwehr street.
in a city like munich its hard to rent an extra room for a studio due the extremely high prices, so we all have bedroom studios with the advantage that we can do music whenever we feel to. however our stressin turkish neighbour behaves like the pain in the ass of the whole neighbourhood. but we all have a vision and the night gives us the support we need to create our own space and our own time within our own spirit on 180 g vinyl from now on with a vinyl only cut on every 12 inch. twenty-three foreva!

this masterpiece was produced by st. petersburg based musician alexey nikitin aka nocow for the siberian label gimme5. the lp version will be released as coloured vinyl by fauxpas musik. this picture-perfect album with twelve tracks holds a special vision of perfection. rumbling beats just as burial, the melodies, dubs and sounds though seem to evolve a life of its own and in the end you are overwhelmed by the dimensions of these tracks. vinyl tastes better.

our second vinyl release 2012 introduces a new series, the bias jams, on ilian tape. we start off with a compilation of 4 tracks from japan, serbia, argentina and italy. after some internal investigations we found out that imugem orihasam is not only a japanese shaolin, but also a yoga guru. his bias cut sounds like an instruction for a deep meditation in a forest. we chose a forest, because forests need to be saved. too many black puffs of vapour are killing them at the moment. our late riser regen probably didnt had that a mind, but we declare him to be an environmental activist from now on. now how should we include paper tape in this story … had a look online and found the term perforated paper tape. pretty interesting stuff, it was one of the first methods for data storage. ok are you guys joking? orbital? there is no way to write a good story with those track names. >an atomic orbital is a mathematical function that describes the wave-like behavior of either one electron or a pair of electrons in an atom<. yeah right! well in fact its enough to know that the bias jams series will feature some heavy bomboclaat bias cuts from various artists! cheers

check the guns are back with the second to last instalment in their tape edit series. it is onwards and upwards for 004 where side one sees a deconstructed work out of the fatback bands >the girl is so fine<. track 2 >house down< is a no holds barred party tune for the discerning dance floor that will do all the work for you. on the flip >sugar samba< is a rework of the london records classic from julia and co. finishing off we have an edit of heatwaves >super soul sister< which is a gem of a vocal funk track that gives as good as it gets and leaves you wanting more.

2012! finally. the end of the magic maya calendar and the start of another cosmic ilian calendar until 2043. here we are with ilian number 12 hang on 2012 and ilian 12? yes thats not a coincidence,its all well planned. the 23 year young munich hustler marco z says hi with his third dish for ilian tape since he started playing fifa 94 on his sega mega drive. lazy and sexy as always he is initiating a new time for us. as the cosmic ilian starts 2012 – ilian tape is on a new mission for some selective raggamuffin cuts out of munich hbf. after air dolomiti required an own black box for each passenger to fly to bolzano, marco cancelled the flight and went back to his girls for some schlutzkrapfens. so get into the tracks while reading our never ending nonsense here and feel it!

feelharmonic proudly presents satore with his ep on tape. the young spanish producer makes his label debut with the deep disco title track on tape and the funky, percussion-driven for the road. on the remix front, the excellent madrid-based duo ordell and ernie from minuendo recordings house it up even further with a re-work each of on tape and for the road respectively.

modeselektor and objekt deliver 2 heavyweight remixes for radiohead tracks on this very limited heavyweight vinyl.

after the successful zenker brothers record, we continue with a solo record by dario zenker. it sounds like dario bought some healthy food, went to mcdonalds and i ate it there to provoke some marketing campaign against intensive livestock farming. we know for a fact that he has an unlimited love for good food, dirty old school hip hop, porn, broken beats and kung fu by the way. his flat on the 5th floor gets a lot of light during the summer and also heats up a lot. can you smellthe sweat? speaking of sweat, you should check out inner circles sweat. instead of a proper high 5, we would even give 6 for this one! oh what a bad way of trying to make some sense with the track title... but honestly give 6 is a hard one. well i guess its time to stop writing some weird shit and start listening...

the zenker brothers grew up in munich, but in 1996 they moved to the countryside and their first adress outside of the bavarian capital was berg 10. shortly after that they got their first dog inti, he smelled like hell, but he was the loveliest dog you can imagine. although it was an intense change and not that easy at the beginning to move from a big city to a village with 5 houses, it was a really important experience for the brothers. and there was so much to discover: the beautiful mountains, lakes and forests, the local football team, the heavy bavarian accent and simply the different mentality on the countryside. all things they would never want to miss, but it was just a question of time to go back to the city. we are proud to present the first record from dario & marco. enjoy!

pattern select aka milton jackson and show-b have gone well and truly back to the raw on this, their first collaborative work together and debut ep for delusions of grandeur. both producers have been busy on some top quality projects just recently with milton jackson remixing recloose for planet e and show b producing for robert owens on compost. the pair met at a party in munich, promptly fell in love, and soon enough pattern select was born. kicking off tale of the tape sees the pair go deep n dark on this low-slung groove where demonic laughter rides the driving hats and insesant crashes until the filtering arpeggiated synth line joins the fun. tale of the dub gives us a stripped back, dub-infused version which goes a little lighter on the craziness of the first version but without losing any of the deep, hypnotic funk.

after several releases on labels like bar25, microtonal, dantze and etuirecords end of tape finally hit the box with their tape jam ep.these guys don t talk with each other – they just do music and thats the best. the result of this gone wrong musician friendship (but tight producer team at the same time) you can celebrate with this ep. this is no snow from yesterday – it s the musical climatic change of tomorrow – without any opportunity.

marco zenker, the wonderboy from munich is up and looking for freedom again with his second record on ilian tape. invisible shadows was discovered by ourselves on the last ilian tape warehouse party back last year. when we heard it the first time on a big system - even marco himself - we were pretty surprised. its building up slowly and leads into a very open space - the perfect track to give the night another direction. remain silent after you heard that side and open your ears for the b side that sends us into a different sphere. here we go down. you almost can call that cut a meditation hymne - it has the same vibe as osho ashram s back then hosted by f. fuhlert. finally we have a tripping remix from one of the hottest dutch guys at the moment - conforce. known for his releases on meanwhile, delsin or rush hour he shows once again why holland is thechicago of europe. its just free spirited, soulful and openminded. qualities we are missing here more or less in bavaria. so we are trying to open up and change things. the time will come. kiss

it is about time for a record from label founder dario zenker. dont ask why it took so long, but be sure it wasnt the last one. and what a record this is, after several great releases on labels like vakant, harry klein records or time to express, dario’s debut on his own imprint is another example for his unique and mature sound. his studio just as his music has grown over the years. 10 am sounds like an earthquake, raw and dirty, it builds up so much energy that even babensham starts to shake. farrel on the other side is best described as deep break beat techno. it shows the diversity of darios productions and diversity combined with a certain signature is a great mix in our opinion. so enjoy it or not, dance or put your hands in your pockets, share some love or be a hater, no matter what we like u.

it was just a matter of time for marco zenkers first vinyl on ilian tape. after 3 digital eps, a handfull of rmxes and one side on the harry klein 001, he strikes back with his probably most impressive cuts to date. marco experienced many mysterious moments on munichÆs dancefloors so far. munichs dancefloors are mysterious for those who know. the time will bring changes. force back lay down and wait. jump on, turn around and move. open up and sing. prepare your body for her and come back. more or less thats marcos intention on his first own 12 inch. its deep and smooth, at the same time energetic like a bavarian thunder.
