after recently releasing astonishing records on vakant & kalk pets, dewalta is hitting now even more dynamic and powerful the springtime floors. back on his motherlabel with great & unusual music and we dare to say that it is our favorite release of him so farà >saluki< starts straight with a crafty bass driven smooth rocket and build its self up alongside a guiding piano loop to reach very atmospheric frictions. soft choir singing here and there, various dub sounds brushing in the space, bringing all sound aficionados into a beautiful ride. dewaltas crispy rhythms are eventually fading out into melancholic and moving detroitish strings, to complete this unique piece of music. >shagya< on the flipside is a self-developing carnevalesque odyssey. its such a profound & delicious kickdrum, tightened with an extraordinary bass presence, its simply irresistible not to groove happily on that one. all is enriched with polyphonic balafon rhythms and hilarious african rooted chants - this is the energetic tool for those special intimate moments. a perfect track when lust and familiarity is present within the crowd and we consider time as officially end.

although jaxson and keno both have successful solo projects and have previously worked together before, this collaboration is bound to be their most notable release yet. a fusion of house, funk, latin and techno, all meet at the crossroads of their studios for a 4 track ep of sundry beats and fresh flavors. clearly the a-side, >tout le temps< is comprised of a clever hook and a hazy latino vocal sample, which carries the initial groove right into an originally played synth section. a good example of a refreshing approach to adding effects and using sounds. >tarantella< as the title might suggest, one might expect a track that would scare the living day lights out of you, but it has more of a >creeping up from behind you< sort of vibe. a subtlety creeping groove subliminally enters your unconscious mind carrying a secret message. what is that message you ask? dance! the congas on, >red baron< sound so live you can almost here the players licking their fingers. congas might be the groove in the heart of this tune, but the melody of the slick synth stabs and rising strings are what ultimately breath energy and spunk into this roller. >karate kid< initially has a minimal feel, but once the hacked up guitar and vocals come in, you can put those dirty thoughts to rest. abundant with an overwhelming amount of unique and interesting sounds, secure this tunes ability to prick up the ears of finicky djs and clubbers alike. it is rare to find such a wide variation of sound design on your run of the mill ep, but kindisch has proved they are not an ordinary label. they are consistently releasing quality tunes and always providing pleasant surprises. some might say it is a clichÚ, but this ep really does have a bit of something that will drive one club or another nuts
after a longer gap than intended, part two of the cage & aviary remix series lands with a bang. truck are an enigma of a band, only forming when the astral alignments deem it appropriate - the next is due in 2012. cage & aviary take the brilliant vocal into proto/acid house territory with a killer bassline ready to move any dancefloor. crude vocal cut ups add to the 80s remix feel, while guitar licks, god pads, and all manner of prophet warblings come and go in a patchwork of angled sounds. sinister strings cut through at the mid way point before the superb outro vocal takes you home. for the dub, ape into jam & leo zero put their heads together and push the track into more of a dancefloor place, employing arpeggiators to keep the cut and paste elements rolling along. leo is a man of many excellent edits, productions, and remixes - watch out for an exciting new vocal project coming from him soon

big time summer release! the sd records imprint has build up a steady name with rock-solid releases that switch easily between genres like techno, house and electro. the overload ep by mark du mosch follows this tradition: it s timeless, deep, warm, melodic and above all, very danceable. titletrack overload is a dancefloor monster with a devastating low end and an almost ravey feel to it. genesis is deep and repetitive with fragments of lost melodies drifting to the surface. summer breeze has the perfect title: it s pure musical sunshine for those warm summernights. the beautiful in the clouds takes off with floating melodies that slowly develop into grooving rhythms. a perfect finishing for a perfect ep that will be in many records bags for a long time coming. summer starts early this year. don t miss it.

the enclave of both established artists and fresh undiscovered talent whose shared passion of deep underground detroit influenced house and disco are reflected in the quality output you will come to expect from the label. franc spangler, the revenge, zepp001, john daly, alpha child, 6th borough project, tuccifunk and pezzner are just some of the producers creating their work with tender loving care for delusions. dog01 will be setting the standard with the soul part ii from craig smith & the revenge. these boys are currently riding a wave of successful releases, mainly in the form of their disco and boogie edits under their 6th borough project guise on instruments of rapture. here we see them move into original production territory with a bass heavy slice of brooding and grooving floor friendly house but with their own unique twist. tempos are kept low, drums are kept live sounding and the subtle italo synth lines all ensure this track keeps true to their roots in disco. for their 6th borough project dub they dive head first into a slowly building, drum and percussion heavy workout which has a beautiful tension to it. this is music for small basements with big sound systems. finally we have john dalys beautiful interpretation where he opts for a blissed out, understated and hypnotic sound that wraps you up in layers of warm, echoing synths whilst the groove chugs along masterfully. a true mood setter or after hours classic

minus has released a first rate selection of home grown artist albums over the past 18 months, with heartthrob, false and gaiser all creating long players of real substance and this trend is set to continue in 2009 with arguably the label’s most significant release of recent times. louderbach’s long awaited second album autumn represents another jump in the evolutionary cycle of minimal techno, having developed from the largely instrumental project that gave us enemy love into a fully-fledged song based outfit. as a result, autumn has a much deeper feel than its predecessor and indeed breaks new ground, with the dark metaphors of gibby miller’s often chilling vocal performances fitting hand-in-glove with the ominous landscapes and broken architecture that troy pierce constructs so effectively. drawing on shared influences such as bauhaus, coil and joy division, the duo have conceived an album of emotional depth and exquisite detail, appropriating the best elements of these early-eighties pioneers and reinterpreting them through a contemporary lens to achieve a perfect balance of style and content. it’s the result of an unspoken understanding that spans thousands of miles from their respective homes in l.a. and berlin and this distant intimacy is a naturally occurring theme throughout the album, manifesting itself as dark, twilight tales of melancholy romance, burning obsession and the slow, disintegration of desire

after a recent guest performance on seuil’s eklo label, michael melchner - the young producer and dj from nuremberg - is back with another stunning ep for cargo edition. melchner is the resident-dj of the ‘kiss klub“ party series at nuremberg’s famous club ‘die rakete’, and music aficionados will have had their eye on this up-and-coming artist for a while now. this time around michael melchner dishes up three top-notch house tracks for us. “you understand“ is techhouse at its best, where he deftly holds and rides that balance between deepness and the dancefloor. a continously forward-pushing bassline is combined with a mysterious vocal sample and restrained breaks. „wooob“ grabs you with its devastatingly simple rhythm, while the bassline cuts through with a high dose of funk. topping the track off we have a vocal loop that shows off michael’s affection to the musical beginnings of house. this ties in nicely with the ep closer »just a skip« which reminisces over the sound of chicago. profound melodies, skillfully arranged vocal samples and a whole heap of soul suggest that michael melchner may just have produced a modern house classic. so again, just like on his first ep for cargo edition in may last year, michael melchner has managed to paint a musical portrait combining the present and the past into one classic moment.

moeller s third, already highly anticipated ep for third ear, following the jazz space ep (3eep-068) and the one man s junk ep (3eep-088).once again we have selected 4 cuts of varying mood and intensity to create an ep offering many possibilities for the dj and a rewarding home listening experience. a1 - traffic (new wipers mix) is a driving wide-screen track which will turn the dancefloor into a heaving mass of frequencies and beats. this is close to a peak-time track. this is a high intensity track that holds the vibe in a state of impending release underpinned with a deep, open groove. 126bpm. a2 - slight transition takes the vibe very deep and keeps it there. a simple (genuinely less is more) drum pattern of a lightly hit snare drum, hi-hat and occasionally shaken guiro over a hypnotic bass pattern, hold the track in place for nearly seven minutes. a masterful control of tension offering the dj a number of options for where to take the dancefloor from this moment s respite. 119bpm.
neeve is for a lot of people one of the stand out tracks from the recent woolfy vs. projections album the astral projections of starlight and finally gets the single release it deserves. alongside the original album version comes a pair of fresh remixes. the first one is provided by the time & space machine aka richard norris, erol alkans partner in crime in the beyond the wizards sleeve project who just did a great remix for franz ferdinand. he stretches the original into an extented dance version. seconded by the debut remix from the brand new permanent vacation production outlet formed by the label heads tom bioly and benjamin froehlich. the boys turn neeve in their tropical heat remix into a percussive and hypnotic voodoo disco/house groover.

having quickly established himself as a bright new talent, with releases on respected platforms like drumpoet community, resopal and sthlmaudio, langenberg is the latest promising producer to grace the dessous label catalogue. a long flowing, proud and distinctly current sounding moment in house, >alternate rhythm< stakes its foundations in filtered, warping vocal loops, deeply rooted percussion and dubbed out effects. an urgently rousing synthline lifts the tension higher as langenberg breaks it down in classic style, resulting in a fulfilling and tempting treat for the dancefloor. berlin residing sensation sven weisemann first introduced his talents to the world through his work on the styrax leaves and mojuba imprints. now the young nu-wave-deep-house producer adds his own special touch with his ?allop rhythm remix? stripping down the original? sound palette into a delicious trip into precision dub deepness. taking inspiration from the legacy of both the us and german deep house fraternities, weisemann makes his intentions clear with this beautifully crafted, collectors?cut remix. tracklisting: a alternate rhythm b alternate rhythm (weisemann? gallop remix)
vinyl exclusive release! no digital !!!story02 brings you more tales from the deepside that have no author attached to them and rather sound like deephouse traditionals secretly and orally passed down from one wise deephouse initiate to the next. free from superficial glitzy effects, showy noodling or even the slightest nod to the latest fad in clubland every single one of these 3 tracks is like a condensed version of what deephouse is about and revokes mystic memories of nights in dark, bassridden basements. >deepcut59< is a manifest not for minimalism but simplicity where only the slow swelling of a chord can make you burst with joy and just the addition of a hi-hat will stir you into action with new vigor. >on the way back< over on the b-side features a relentlessly pushing, driving rhythm with abstract, piercing piano chords scattered all over while the title of the closing >rhodes on drums< says it all: sweet wailing, rhodes musings on >love and happiness< for those blue hours in the morning. this story is an epic!

a new gleaming star in the sky, intending to point the way in the promised land, abates the first misty-eyed, playful publication. nonetheless jackin, house-bounce red threads twist thru all tracks, which could not be more divergent. excellent, then each one is a grandiose dj-tool destined to keep the hearing nerves back in time. diversify guaranteed and impossible to keep still. label owners are the always-on-top swiss dj and producer steve cole and the berlin born robert stolt, charactering a part of the dj- and producing team with the pathbreaking name tagträumer2. it was his original contribution, impudent, vibrating propelling was unmistakable jimi hendrixs muse. like his mentor, he cleverly combined rock n roll with reveries, today an explosive mixture. the remix of tigerskin aka dub taylor is a psychedelic sound, that remind us of the best years of bordercommunity, like a nice lsd-trip known in to those days. the cream on the cakeis steve coles remix, maximal in defiance of minimal. he compiles the language of the woodstock heroes into the >sound of berlin< and wrapped it into a story, which can be patiently eavesdropped.
hot natured represents a sunny and modern take on classic and future classic music. subtly changing, and adding a new edge to some of the many different genres that have influenced the east london wideboy and los angeles newcomer who are behind the label. along the way hot natured will serve up disco through techno re-edits, pop remixes even slices of hip hop injected with the kind of dancefloor knowledge only a seasoned dj can tap into. whether its the reimagining of seminal artists like radiohead to kanye west, or chic to notorious b.i.g, the main goal is to do this with a certain level of sophistication and class, that is often lacking in the >unofficial remix< world.these artists and their work have represented unique points of inspiration for hot natured and its aesthetic. some might argue, >why mess with perfection?< well that attitude isnt much fun, is it? so please sit back, or rather get up and enjoy the first serving of hot natured, two naughty groove riddled versions of possibly two of the best pop records of 2008, chopped spliced and funked up by a well known london techno youngster.
