deluxe ist das erste album der detroiter funk-band will sessions mit eigenem material. zuvor arbeiteten sie mit kŸnstlern wie bad meets evil (eminem & royce da 5 9), elzhi, danny brown, mayer hawthorne, black milk und anderen zusammen. mit elzhi coverten sie nas klassiker illmatic und kreierten elmatic. auf ihrem mix takes 1-4 album befinden sich vier grandiose medleys fŸr fans von breakestra, el michels affair, menahan street band, golden era hip hop, detroit hip hop, j dilla, black milk, usw. auf ihrem deluxe album sind gŠste wie amp fiddler (funkadelic/parliamen), rickey calloway, coko und allan barnes (blackbyrds) vertreten.

die wahrscheinlich bekannteste comicgruppe des musikgeschŠfts meldet sich 2017 mit einem neuen album zurŸck: ÈhumanzÇ hei§t der mittlerweile vierte studiolongplayer der band, fŸr den damon albarn und jamie hewlett wie gewohnt mit einem ganzen schwung hochkarŠtiger kollegen kollaborierten.

es ist schon beeindruckend, wie philipp neben den sommerlichen festivals, vielen radiokonzerten und unzŠhligen ausverkauften clubshows parallel so ein meisterwerk wie 2:33 aus dem €rmel schŸttelt. der junge mann hinter wolke 4 hat noch mehr asse im €rmel, mehr geschichten zu erzŠhlen, mehr musik in die welt zu schicken! was nun auf 2:33 zu hšren ist, sind gewachsene, gro§e songs, vielschichtig produziert, mit allen instrumenten, die sinn machen fŸr einen singer/songwriter, der auch mit dem pomp der gro§en bŸhnen mithalten kann. und dann diese ruhige und gleichzeitig unglaublich intensive stimme, die viel zu erzŠhlen hat, dabei nie aufdringlich wird. 2:33 ist eine einladung zum zuhšren. der charme des berliners wird von der produktion nicht verschluckt, sie spielt seinen authentischen songs voll und ganz zu, unterstŸtzt sie, passt zu seiner natŸrlichen stimme. sie lŠdt den hšrer ein, in philipps geschichten einzutauchen. irgendwie ist da etwas wunderbares, sehr charmant und bodenstŠndig geblieben, hat aber gleichzeitig deutlich an musikalischer vision gewonnen.
