even though we re not paladins of pure concepts, the sound we re currently looking to release usually has a raw, kinda primitive and rough around the edges nature. we re definitely not looking for the generic -soul sample meets a 4x4 beat- kind of edit. for this release we challenge 4 of our favorite porto producers to give their unique twist to different samples and sounds of records we love. ranging from upbeat disco rhythms to organic drums and hypnotic g funk melodies this release has it all. we truly believe this is a honest representation of part of the porto music movement that makes us proud.

noise tool is a pair of techno cuts, each almost breaching 10 minutes and custom fit to the dancefloor dedicated sound maeve has become known for.

played by sven väth !!! night voyage tool kit is the collaborative project of two like-minded producers, night slugs bok bok and tom trago, curator of the rush hour labels voyage direct series. originally commissioned by sound pellegrino label boss teki latex, this is the result of four intense days and nights in toms amsterdam studio, surrounded by hardware and enshrouded in a thick haze. having pursued very different directions in their respective solo work, the duo find common ground in minimalism, dj tools, the neptunes and ghetto house. the result is a collection of stripped down rhythm tracks aimed straight for the club: the arpeggiator workout of pathfinder, vectors cosmic jeep bass, pom clash and its grimey lil louis tribute, and the acid epic lil ma bonus beat.

jorge ciccioli shows up again on rrygular. with his new release >southern tool< the argentinian dives really deep into the minimal genre. by focussing on the most important elements he created three handy and driving dj tools. and although the tunes are already well arranged there is room to experiment while playing. the track >sinatsuma< comes with a nice signature phrase that might get stuck in your head. the whole b face is reserved for the remix by franco cinelli who turned the main track into a dubby techhouse tune of almost 10min. nice one.

ivana alexandrovic aka ivee was born in 1984. since ivee was 6 years old, music became her life. she started playing violin in a specialized school for musical talents. at this moment she is on master studies of violin and works like promoter for most respected and active booking agency in serbia and music and for club akademija which cherish techno parties. recently, she released her first lp for bazooka 10 (cosmophilia distribution) under name aureole and a 12inch for artillery records (crowbar). this release on sven wittekinds imprint is now the next step in her young career
