straight off the heels of his highly successful bird brain album teaser tracks, aundy and beat that bird comes the definitive claude vonstroke record everyone has been waiting for. the a side is classic genius cvs at work. he constructs a mad vocal pattern up and down through 4 octaves and all the vowel sounds of the live human voice. then he creates a chord out of the notes all coming together for en even bigger surprise in the 2nd half. this track is quite simply unique. there is nothing else like it. the b-side resembles the freaky side of cvs harking back to the tech funk sound of tracks like chimps. this time claude makes an ultra-wide filter sweep sound like a pair of humongous tits bouncing up and down on a trampoline. the boob jokes are there but the track is so filthy dirty its hard to even find time to chuckle.

polytone remains in deep territories and has signed two of the most exciting tracks of drei farben house (brut!) so far. on final call the berlin resident succeeds in building a bridge between minimal aesthetics and the musicality of deep house which has rarely been heard in this form. in this 8-minute track a whole series of musical themes are flashing yet held together by a lot of instinctive feeling. on looking back to control drei farben house is just as deep and melodically interesting and again relies on unusual track structures. in his remix matthias vogt from motorcitysoul works out the chords and melody themes of the original even more and turns final call into an exciting, swelling affair whereas newcomer baldo (dubhe) transforms the original track into a brilliant and wonderfully classic piece of dubtechno.

>first left< is a huge funky fusion bomb that will be sure to move any crowd. looping up the classic herbie tune >just around the corner< the boys have added some percussive flavours to give it a summery edge. side 2 is their rework of ray barrettos version of stevie wonders >pastime paradise<. extending the intro and giving it an extra little kick the tune builds into the perfect singalong tune for those bbq afternoons and summer nights.
