its time to introduce a new talent on the block c-system. operating from the sunny spain and one of his very first official releases was immediately charted by none other than dave clarke! alongside his contribution to the rotterdam based patterns, c-system also signed some impressive new from from his hand to adult (run by paul hazendonk). stephane signore supports this propelling dancefloor monster with a remix that will rock the crowd big-time!

this time again offering some delightful grooves that will be appreciated both by the dance floor crowd and home listeners. nicely starting off the ep is berlin based greek producer ekkohaus - on his second tune for the label with a very detroit-influenced track, massive elements of groove and funk, exploding half-way through and teasing the listener as the snare/clap comes in on the half beat. this tune will be largely enjoyed by both techno and house fanatics. next one on the list is italian marco shuttle, offering a slightly different approach with his deep, long & repetitive journey of soft synth chords and elegant elements that remind of cadenza releases, providing a perfect tune for the after-hours or stylish warm up. on the flip we find ourselves with a huge tune from queen atom, perfect for the peak time hours in those big packed club rooms: a combination of detroit-esque funk, with trippy back melodies and percussive 909 toms waving through the atmosphere, resulting in a dark yet groovy slow-tempo techno piece. strikingly finishing off the ep is argentinean artist rudolf, already known for his previous releases on sthlm, who delivers an enormous experimental track with intensely layered vocal melodies: eerie, ghostly and combined with many industrial aspects, the result is an immense bubbly, watery track that will indisputably drive clubbers insane throughout the globe.

igor tchkotoua and dan duncan are true workaholics. not only are the two mallorquinos forming one of the most exciting techno duos of our time and play in the most famous clubs worldwide, they always make it to pop up in the studio to work on their releases on sonic society, wig records or like in the case of >deliverance<, the new 12inch on cocoon. >deliverance< starts quite cautious but the track becomes more and more complex – pig & dan give the dj a tool that fits the minimal raver like a custom-made suit. the b side is again one of those tracks that put a smile on your face. in >sly detector<, atmospheric techno sound unites with energetic celebration pleasure, just as we know it from tracks like >after ibiza< or >on to the beat<. the rolling hookline which has the necessary splash of acid is, together with the floating trance layer, adrenalising to such extent that nothing else remains to be done but to raise your hands in the air. the track was already a hit with many djs in 2007, and will be one – chosen in the right moment – on many dancefloors in 2008, too

its almost 4 years to the day that jeff samuels >throatwobbler mangrove ep< was released on karloff #03, and even today the four world hits of the record are getting digged out by djs, when the minimalism needs to either groove or jack again. so now with >return of the throatwobbler< theres finally an appropriate follow-up by the man from seattle.. erm.. berlin, after he’s impressively run riot in the meantime, on labels like spectral, trapez, poker flat, frankie and logistic. the a-side >terso< is shuffling and twirling and bouncing in such a winsome way that not many can master like jeff samuel. almost like an electric ray - left and right and left, and without letting any tempting gimmicks take the mind off the straight path. appropriately enough, >the spook< on the b-side comes along a bit more spookily, with a bassline twisting into the brain, ripped up by miniatures of bleeps and chords just in the right moments, and thus leading the track to an agile, exhilarated climax

scott wozniak gets large again with his follow up ep to breathe. stand up is the title track, and has all of the trademark sounds and pads that have made woz the man of the moment. a spoken word is featured here, along with a mr v inspired chorus and fantastic bassline and beats. time and a red sky is the 2nd cut and is gritty and techy, perfect for harder dance floors.

as always freedom soundz records provide you with dope tunes for the dancefloor or just pure listening pleasure. stephane is well known for his funky deep beats and vibes with an electronic edge, bringing the goods once again fresh after his release on planet e to make u sweat on a dancefloor near you with two tracks marrying deep oldschool house, detroit techno and the sound of now!

first single from the stunning hunterville long player from rodney hunter. guest remixes by the neighbouring germans adds to the rightfully expected release on this 12inch. man of the moment christian prommer takes wanna groove on the more gentle percussion trip at first that simply builds and builds into a classic education process. elegant programming as you would come to expect from voom voom/fauna flash/trüby trio team member. it ends at just over ten minutes but the ride spanned a minor evolution in techno terms. wahoo boys, aka georg levin & steffen berkhahn bring back some of the bounce and shuffle and a tambourine shake or two. again, these guys know a thing or two about moving feet and hips and making people heat up their body temperatures.

big berghain sure-shot ! striking again from the mountains of nagano, japan jerome sydenham and hideo kobayashi (nagano kitchen), serve up a sizzling ep. the track >gsxr 810< is straight up techno beef stew! where as >no traffic in nagano< goes deeper with humping beats and sultry overtones. last but not least >climbing tateshina< is simply driving with many intricate layers that really do take you on that journey. enjoy!
