with tuomas salmela aka phonogenic, we welcome one of the most established finnish techno and house producers, with releases on 2020 vision, poker flat, moodmusic or f-com-munications. salmelas sound has something dark, reminding of the long finnish winters and cold nights. he does not feast in old times or posts the question of oldskool or newskool, but simply has produced something really new, without getting lost in clicks n cuts or doing too much sound research. phonogenic uses sentimental harmonies and stringent direct beats, that dont need complex building arrangements, but come to the point rather quickly and make clear where the journey will take us. similarly to guy gerber, phonogenics productions also are somewhere in between techno and houseand even use elements of trance. however, salmelas productions always make the impression of being well planned and moody

a perfect example for the second category is the lnz013 track rezolution. even though limited on 500 white label copies, this hypnotic minimal trip became an incredible public success over the last two months. not only, but especially on ibiza, the feos & miroir production is regularly spinned by all important tech house djs. not set the dance floor alight or keep it ablaze with rezolution is a big faux pas the party crowd hardly could accept. due to the overwhelming demand for the lnz013 (and the fact that its sold out mostly everywhere) the label decided to press a second edition of this legendary tune. unlike the tria track of the limited vinyl, the flipside comes with a re-edit version of rezolution, produced by pascal feos studio mate chris wood. extended to 8.30 minutes of playtime, he retained all stunning sound elements of the original, re-arranged them, gave great new accents and lifted the track cleverly up to an even higher, minimal house energetic level. thats why we dont call it a b-, but aa-side track

well, ive known markus for a while and hes a damn good producer. hes been here for a while now and has been releasing on labels like maw, raw fusion, sonar kollektiv or deeply rooted to name a few. his music is always elegant and his production has an edge. lately he lets his early rave and techno influences shine through. for remixing, we got lucky to have >redshape<. hes definitely one of the most interesting producers at the moment and has understood detroit techno and house much better than anyone right now. both mixes are lo-fi and dirty, with a proper sexy groove. needless to talk too much about it: if you like real house and techno just.. .

>too many bugs< on the a side is meant to be an acknowledgement for the software industry. everybody should know the background of bug fixes in the form of patches... but this track is free of bugs, phat bass lines as well as tricky generated sounds will be banged around your ears literally! minx on the b side is forward-pressing as well. the bass line is pushing and the remaining elements are out to do the same with the aim to get even the last deadheads on the dancefloor
