lorentz back in action for little hill! with a long side (14.58) where there are two original tracks, madicosa and choose in it, lorentz show us his gentle sounds, with homesick tracks. if you flip records you can find two great works made by mattia trani, label-head of pushmaster discs, with his 909 remix and damien schneider, apologue recordings, with more effective techno remix.

oslo is happy to welcome new artist federico lijtmaer to the family with his wonderful ep impermanencia. inpermanencia on the a-side is a superb deep house track with the right kind of funkyness for the cool. federico combines smooth bass with shifty drums and classy synth action. this track will conjure a smile on your face and we are happy as hell to be able to release this little gem. unselfish on the b-side is as funky as its big brother on the flip-side. a throwback to bygone times in a way, if you consider labels as mosaic or trelik. however, federico definitely succeeded in terms of a modern interpretation. the inclined listener will recognize his musical roots anyway.

portland producer strategy is back with two unique house cuts. his wide range unique music is released from 100% silk, kranky and endless flight. a side, >luna< is very unique sound which is difficult to categorise. but if we say, it is like detroit techno remix of synth pop ... b side, >the saga< is his trade mark dubby house sound but bit more gorgeous and uplifting.

having taken a break from releasing on the basic grooves imprint, shane linehan returns to his native label with a straight up house music two tracker. side a meditate on this takes inspiration from detroit styles. moving chords, slammin claps and a chopped up scat style vocal is what s on offer here. the b side -the unintentional dub is a stripped back eeh, dub true to the original bg style.

after their featuring on kyle halls boat party ep, the bologna based duo nas1 join the bosconi family with a lush six tracks vinyl strongly influenced by contemporary detroit house. a side starts with the chuggin and moody beat of -black coffee-, then continues with the stomping and sexy midtempo of -i don t mind- and ends with the more mysterious, electro boogie raw jam of -dallas vertical roll-. on the flip we find the slapped roadhouse blues of madturkey followed by the twisted gifted & blesseds re-interpretation of -i don t mind-. the ep ends with the melancholic and soulful textures of the shuffle groover -hoarse presence-. tasty!

asoks scenery imprint continues to go from strength to strength, with the boss man following up bantam lions recent recollections ep with a single of his own. hunter is undoubtedly the liverpool-based producer s strongest track yet, with woozy, soft-focus chords and alien electronics riding a dusty, analogue-rich groove. as with much of the labels recent output, there are distinct hints of mood hut, future times and mister saturday night. experienced producer versalife reworks the title track, turning it into a blissful chunk of drexciya-style electro. flip to the b-side for cabal, an ultra-deep and occasionally discordant concoction, and the fuzzy, detroit-influenced bounce of millennium 2.2.

the maaskant polychoral style was a type of music of the late modern electronics and early indie eras which involved spatially separate voices singing in alternation. it represented a major stylistic shift from the prevailing polyphonic writing of the early electronic generation, and was one of the major stylistic developments of the 90s which led directly to the formation of what we now know as the pure modern style. a commonly encountered term for the separated analog choirs is cori analogici spezzati — literally, phased choirs. the a-side, featuring eyo olokun, signifies unfathomable deep grooves. that is, the instinct that there is something worth knowing, perhaps more than can ever be learned, especially this bassline that most people spend a lifetime pondering.

the title track reveals a deeper and more contemplative mood for 2014, with a pensive piano loop, a dark-toned deep house swing, and a vocal sample that speaks to the experiences of the disenfranchised. chris lattner s remix of the same provides a punchier and more dramatic rhythm track for maximum impact and a more urgent effect. b-side production -morning poem- harnesses the power spoken dialogue again, with a big flter of distortion, and wispy, whirring deep tech sounds tha testablish a late night feel.
