superb 80s nyc disco classic

no introduction is really needed for the massive balearic anthem *jibaro*. elkin & nelsons scorching latin disco classic hit big throughout spain, south america and nycs underground club scene in 1979 when this now rare and hard-to-find disco 12 inch version originally dropped, but it gained its real cult status after being picked up and championed up by the likes of rampling, oakenfold et al who who fell in love it after hearing it played by the legendary dj afredo at ibizas amnesia club. instantly recognisable and supremely dancable, this is one of the true heavyweights of the balearic scene - and a must have for any serious record collection.

atomium focuses on collaborations between artists. this second release from the belgian label brings out a collaboration between two berlin-based producers releasing two astonishing house tracks. pm is composed by martin teysera (herencia, cynosure, 31377 records) and philippe liedekerke aka pipo vitch (atomium, hatchwork, toys for boys). >restless<, the a-side of the ep, brings some jacking flavors and twisted spacy stabs on the dance floor. the analog synths trace the line and you just need to start the dance : a classic club track for the end of 2013. >back home<, the b-side, is led by a monster bassline that keeps the groove locked while the guitars delightly bring your brain either back on earth or on another journey. this full analog ep is definitely something to watch out. bring it on and make some noises ! tip

bodyjack - a rough-ass bassline track with classic dance mania & relief style beats - it was originally passed onto five djs only: jackmaster, paul woolford, dave clarke, l-vis1990 & rolando all caned it. dancefloor reactions proving the track was a big underground joint. flip over for >i wanna be<: a twisted garage carnival workout. huxley dropped this immediately at we love at space in ibiza and it took off from there, and both tracks have been going off even having repeated plays on radio 1 and rinse fm.

for this 4th release, we decided to bring you guys one of the best producer right now : kuba sojka !!!the analog man, his continued music production has focused on collaboration with the chicago mathematics recordings label, which presents his more jazzy and soulful face, but not only through the >bright shadow of a star< ep, but from a bigger thanks to the album >mysterious intrigue< released on 2x12<. that release boldly displayed how kuba can combine a bit of the artistic world in jazz and underground club sound of detroit techno and chicago house. this alone didnt confirm the listeners of his music. it was also due to the fact that he presents a real and sincere vibe and is open to new and developing sounds world-wide. as you guys can expect from the man, those cuts are clearly inspired by undergound resistance, dopplereffect, minimal wave & the chicago house sound. the title track >future mind< is a perfect example of those influences, for us it already sounds like an instant classic. the 5 other tracks >revolution<, >walk on moon<, >adventures into the unknown

pulp presents the labels sophomore release called loves cosmos by us house veteran darand land. after delivering a top-notch remix for the first effort (pulp01), darand agreed to come up with an entire ep for the labels forthcoming output. the result is well orchastrated deephouse sounds with that signature darand land vibe. the opening track the long night and the follow up soothe me both have that classic american house vibe to it while the ep takes a more percussive route on tribute to ron and anthony. darand continues to show his versatility on the downtempo track cling to a cloud which has that dreamy touch to it. jose lau helps out on the b side with his mix of sunshine to peaches. all and all pulp is determined to set a very classic standard in modern house. pulp02 is being releaed as a vinyl only limited product. first come, first served.

italian dj legend dj rocca (from the infamous maffia club) joins forces with file under disco to produce a stunning ep of original new disco sounds. as one half of erodiscotheque alongside disco superstar dimitri from paris, and as a regular collaborator with danielle baldelli the grandaddy of the cosmic sound, dj roccas disco credentials are firmly in place. for this release, he captures the classic sound of disco funk on *love power*, but gives it a modern production twist and re-spins it for the contemporary dance floor. on the remix front, the one and only dimitri from paris rolls out one of his heavy-hitting, prelude-style nightdubbin mixes of *pizza on wednesday*, which will have your dancers beating the street for more. while dicky triscos dance floor intentions are obvious as he hits the boogie button with a hands-in-the-air retake on *a magical day*.

three slices of lush from russia with love. the original track, described by mixmag as *a cross between phoenix and empire of the sun*, gets heavy treatment from swiss future classic and kitsune&#769,,,,, heroes pharao black magic, who delivers a pounding yet hypnotic, bass-heavy mid-tempo tune. lovemonk darlings space ranger keep it equally hypnotic, but bring back the speed and embed the melancholic vocals in some uplifting, moving yet club-banging sounds.

the first music to be lifted from her forthcoming sophomore album, zara mcfarlane drops *angie la la* on 2nd december 2013. in many ways an underground cult classic, zaras reworking of this jamaican psych gem by nora dean features former brownswood bubblers alumnus and new yorker leron thomas on trumpet and vocals. consistently one of our favourite producers from the house realm, the truly legendary osunlade aka yoruba soul applies his golden touch to *angie la la*, crafting an exquisitely sensitive and soulful groove founded on booming kicks and handclaps.

without need to mention his years of experience, classic german techno producer johannes heil arrives on figure spc with two classy dub techno movements, each shimmering and snaking over 20 minutes.

keeping up this memento, robert hood delivers these two new cuts of pulsating, body-moving techno with that classic, deep and minimal hood sound.

the next two optimo trax releases are from milan. this first one is four hot tracks from two self-effacing milanese maestros. *acido* is already shaping up to be a club classic and never fails to cause a commotion, it has been thoroughly road tested throughout summer 2013. the other tracks cover all idiosyncratic bases from high grade sleaze funk to spaghetti western-infused, low-slung house.

there are certain moments and event that can redefine a nation and a culture. the 1987 1988 acid house explosion was such a moment in our time that it did capture a nation and a forged a new era in modern music. acid was such a taboo in the late 80s in the uk that law officials thought that the music insight mass use of acid and everyone would space out, and that was far from the truth. but what is true that some guys from chicago created a sound that the world einbraced and continues to embrace to this day.

scotland-born parisian paradise 100 (a.k.a. dj africa, a.k.a. graham peel) has been percolating stripped-back, bouncy-castle house constructs onto the web for a few years but never locked them in wax until now. high time. following his minimalist dictum *more than three tracks on a song is just indulgence*, his debut eps four cuts share a sleek, spare design, jigsawing slinky bass, classic keys, lean drum programming and flashes of synth mirage into fluid, aerodynamic patterns. touches of melodic acid and crossover new wave color the mood an exotic, hedonistic hue (further evinced by titles like the loin king and french kissing in the house of love). his own vision of the project is appropriately fantastical: *the image in my mind is of tropical forests at night, torchlight, distant sounds of tribal ritual dance and ghosts.* regal music for pleasure domes.

top quality reissue of one of the holy grails of the deep house scene - the original deep south recordings release of mission controls classic *outer limits*. originally released in 1990, this floor-filling gem is one of the earliest productions by murk’s ralph falcon and one of his finest. with its deep analogue bass and cool spoken word vocals, it went on to become an underground classic and is now hugely in-demand with djs and collectors. on the flip is the often overlooked brilliance of *give yourself* by the other murk partner oscar g, a bass heavy slo-mo groover that just sounds incredible loud. absolutely essential, do not sleep!

following on from the successful launch of his label graded, midland steps back in to the fray to release another set of werido club jams. occupying the middle ground between classic minimal, oddball house and trippy electronica it is an intriguing new addition to his armoury. grd002 artwork by alexander sullivan.
