two boys and girls on the spur of the moment. they are wearing masks to hide their faces. no one should know who they are. all members are old hands at different music scenes. now the world has to face a new act called a band of crickets! it is the first release of the new label behind the black curtain.
liss c. presents the third release on his own label. liss shows two original tracks created for those who love a certain type of acid and heavy sound. for both tracks there is a remix, on one side the rhythmic without break of the plant worker, on the other side there is a devastating and unmistakable remix by sleeparchive.
the 4 tunes presented on this 12 inch are the more emotive pieces to the murph tone jack session tunes. one acid and three deep tracks that can be used as dj tools or enjoyed as full compositions.
our favourite swedish house duo is back…more dirty than ever! the follow-up to the previous eps moody & trapped is nothing short of brilliant. waisted with its plucked strings is classic deep house held together by a bumpy groove, soulful vocals & slick keyboard but still maintaining the formula that defines dirtytwo and their finest work to date. talking 2 u is where dirtytwo gets deep down and gritty. chunky house chords, a meaty bassline, cut-up voice samples in full basement effect. flip over for the hard on edit of talking 2 u which goes one step further adding some acid lines and a raw basement feeling. a dub for those who seek a more raw and heavier tool. local talk is talking to you!
merkur releases its 6th ep which has a new, different approach compared to the last eps for which it has gained much praise during the past 5 years. the a-side >theme of mercury< was produced by label founder shingo suwa and akirahawks, who is known for the unique re-edit label house mannequin. the two of them mainly perform at homopatik in berlin. theme of mercury is a hypnotic track which was created with some broken old synth and sends your mind on an intergalactic odyssey, before diving into the deepest ocean on a journey to forget about space and time. the first track of the b-side is a remix from ducerey ada nexino aka yuji kondo, also known for his work under both his own name and as a half of steven porter on semantica. the remix fastens up the mix by repetitive pulsating synths, giving the beat an industrial modern atmosphere and letting the crowd heating up. the second track on the flip-side, called >barsoom<, is a solo production by shingo and completes the whole package. the functional work of a cut up 303 acid line with raw bass and a running groove creates an insistent and deeply pressured feeling. vinyl only, limited to 300 copies.
third ear recordings is proud to release exit earth. it is imaginative. it is beautifully written, played and produced. it reminds us how much we love techno. contains a download voucher with all the mp3 tracks+2 bonus tracks (not on vinyl).

truckstop76th is an independent label born in the 2002 in rome, and more precisely in ostia, a neighbourhood of the suburbs that looks onto the sea. this label was born from the will of the duo seventysix (that is mr.3p e nrn) to create a platform to diffuse their own music and that of their crew. the roots of the label sink in the roman illegal rave scene. here they present two deadly acid/electro tracks from franz & shape and ice one. no messing around with this killer 12 inch
hailing from holland, ekman has been haunting the dancefloors for some time now with his deformed acid influenced dark and nasty slow electro and techno tunes. his sound fits in perfect in between drugged out techno and new beat / early techno stuff. even some classic electro touches are in there. simply excellent for your not so average dance party, but who likes average anyway.

the debut lp from chicagodamn
gavin mcclarys music lies somewhere between the cavernous, pared down sonic delights of producers like levon vincent, and the simplistic yet irresistible classic house on labels like prescription underground. all executed and pieced together with beautifully produced analog textures, an undeniable ear for hooks & a dash of the gritty uk techno sound synonymous with his production alias.
available as a limited edition (500 copies) double vinyl package... housed in shrinkwrapped manilla sleeves, with cover sticker & unique download codes
last spotted on dirtybird brandishing a switch-flipping, warehouse busting acid house remix of kill frenzys massive make that booty clap, zds (zombie disco squad,) aka nat self, returns with his very own full ep. ladies and gentlemen, make way for hands.
one of the first people elie asked for music from when he founded jackoff records was massimiliano pagliara. its hard not to be a fan. now three years later finally it happens with massis project with production partner rotciv under the name the rimshooters.
egyptrixx gives a glimpse into his forthcoming second album on night slugs with the vinyl-only cut *water (reduced)*. the hi-definition crystalline world of his previous album *bible eyes* has sunken, submerged. *water* takes place in some vast molten expanse, a subterranean electrical storm expressed as acid-tech. this 12 inch features the reduced dub, stripped of melody to for full hypnotic effect. the full version can be heard on the forthcoming album, titled *a/b til infinity*. on the flip: helix keeps bootlegging our records. he cuts up the masters and edits them up like fruity loops lego, applying the same post-timbaland stutter-logic that was amplified so dramatically in 03-06 grime. here he puts his hand to egyptrixx blastbeats-heavy *adult*, also taken from the forthcoming *a/b til infinity* lp. the results are extremely punishing but compelling listening.
HOW TO TRAVEL THE UNIVERSE (WITHOUT A FLYING SAUCER) (WHITE VINYL)
coloured 12 Inch 25.10.13
the man from marseille vernon dropping his second e.p for dabj here, building on the groove of his debut >chicken dance< but adding an extended palette of sound and taking things in a slightly tougher direction. >how to travel the universe (without a flying saucer)< kicks of with >ignition<, an eerie ghost train cut ripe for an lsd-fuelled danse macabre through the town after the witching hour. >one night in tanzania< rolls out into a rugged, clave-led jacker: a perfect mix between the deep and the tough that vernon can deftly muster, seemingly with ease. flip the white wax for a run of jagged, acidic noise on >how to build a pyramid<, a perfect soundtrack to getting >the acid life< tattooed on yer forehead tebori-style by a crippled ex-yakusa in a back-alley whorehouse...
played by: max essa, i love disco!, sleazy beats recordings, coyote is it balearic?
review: japans 9dw release their first track for is it balearic..? right on is a super chilled loopy slo mo disco gem. touches of soft acid and boogie bassline make this a certain for the more discerning dancefloor. the mushrooms project remix creates an ever growing tribal dubby trip with what sounds like a jews harp thrown in for good measure. mesmerising. the b side features a track that has been an iib favourite for a couple of years since it was heard live in loop tokyo. this slowave almost out of sync techy chugger is not like anything else. evolving with analogue synths and stabs to become a heads downs stomper. international man of mystery man power adds man power to the track and creates a slightly darker journey into synth land
volume 4 in the dbc series sees another 3 classics reworked for the dance floor. early dj support: ashley beedle, frank booker, beaten space probe, dj harvey.
various artist from the earth mothern family. rks, austerity, js and zero gravity saga for the first volume of the tape fresser series. rks open the ep with b3rln2 a deep, techno track, based on a solid groove and a stellar pad. the new secret project austerity closes the a side with a raw-tech-funk-balearic jam, highly recommended for every floor. b side starts with seven words, sharp drums and a soft female voice, exclusive js style. the last track of the ep is pink flamingo of zero gravity saga a new anonymous project based in berlin, pure acid destruction mixed with heart
THE CLAUDIO GENTILE RELEASE (180 GRAM VINYL 12INCH)
12 Inch 18.10.13
he rothmans label combines an unlikely link between football statistics, some of the best (or worst) haircuts to grace the european version of the game, with jacking drums and acid-based rhythmics. the label dedicates its third ep to french striker dominique rochetea, with a various artists ep as strong as the back four of arsenal s 98 fa cup winning side. the nigel winterburn of the release is coyote s without the e , a squelchy and balearic groove with psychedelic vocals not too far off from dj koze mrs bojangles . aimes and scott fraser provide the ep with the composure of tony adams and the brute force of martin keown with their respective synth-led productions the kontemplation of kosmic order and heat for dust , while on the right - a would be lee dixon - drvg cvltvre, supplies the master builder , an ebm and industrious dancefloor workout.
the light fantastic is a dancefloor orientated club album with a range of influences like – deep house, vintage synthesizers, classic boogie, disco, chicago jack, acid house, and even a dash of full-throttle rave revivalism.
from the tropics comes whiskey disco, a sneaky re-edit label bent on dredging the decanter for diffident dancefloor genius from latent disco perpetrators. it is loosely connected to sleazy mcqueen and his assorted cohorts.
whiskey disco #22 features the second ep from b.g. baarregaard, a wonderful producer currently residing in oslo, but who is never too far from the blue lagoons of his home in iceland. b.g. has produced three sublime songs. the sound is an acid freak out of love de-luxe. it grabs and loops, hooks and tugs at your ears, then feet until you, you know. on the flip, the return both promises and delivers a mark morrison had he stayed in miami rather than returning to england. b.g. uses the third song to showcase his own song and instrumental skill in the desire. there is a magic in the air, that keeps us dancing.
on the third release abstract animal returns to heavy peaktime techno. on the a side you can bear witness monomoods ten minute analog threesome with his machines. on the b-side the fachwerk mastermind mike dehnert transforms the acid - vault, taken from the shtum001, into a dark and hypnotic techno cellar. rumbling rhythms and sharp pads keep your mind awake, when monomoods *the siren* on b1 howls through your ears.
on and on the amsterdam based artist and events agency recently launched their new musical venture on records with an ep from jeff rushin & nicole rosie. 001 received a wealth of warm support and today on returns with its new release from fellow dutch artists, doka & shltr.
for 002 on takes a trip to the south of the netherlands (via amsterdam). doka is a name on the on rise. his uncompromising, relentless productions has already seen release on wolfksuil and android muziq and he a regular on the dutch techno circuit. dub techno is the first love of shltr and his own production style also touches on ambient and electronica. together the pair form an impressive partnership, melding their sounds and styles in perfect harmony to create two stunning original tracks in skarn and sovite. keeping it dutch, on welcome darko esser in his tripeo guise on the remix of skarn. the wolfskuil and balans boss has been blazing a trail with his ltd vinyl only tripeo series and is now taking the act on the road. here he takes skarn on a beautifully powerful acid-laced trip that is certain to please.
following a slew of acclaimed releases on left blank and tri angle, as well an album with the much lauded young echo collective, vessel debuts on the burgeoning liberation technologies imprint with three diverse cuts of inimitable off-kilter electronics. *misery is a communicable disease* serves as a euphoric opener, primed for moments of escapism on or off the dancefloor with resonant hats and an exultant synth line laid bare upon a bed of gauzy pads and valve-warmed kicks. vmi is a different beast altogether, channeling the visceral spirit of minimal wave and punk aesthetic to create a sordid call to arms before the frenzied acid and lingering menace of *not for design* closes the record in typically deranged fashion.
praterei turns 8, if releases were years and to celebrate, proffers a stamped 10 from label swami, 7 citizens. >do your head in< is charged with a side duties and a bit of a cerebral poke it is too. flirting somewhere betwixt both reverie and nightmare, it’s as playful as it is tormenting. it invites you round for a cup of tea, slaps you about a bit and calls you names before putting you to bed and whispering slightly sexy things in your lughole. >stride< is an altogether less hairy affair. its honest. its honest about the fact you are going to need a safe word. an acid romp with unwavering purpose.
zur eule is a track with reassuring and melodic flow under refreshing house-drums. two oppositions with just a big matching effect.maenstroem created an remix out of the deepest parts from the original. monotone basslines with a little touch of a acid charm inside

vinyl only, mastered by d&m
bergstrom cuts to the chase: cavernous, reverbed chords, slicing high hats and steely snares strapped to a sinewy 909 kick, with a siren droning faintly in the background. four-to-the-floor ekaterina is the fever dream of funky house: icy hats and reverbs trick out a heavily filtered synth and a heaving sample of vintage polka. kicking off the flip, more war: state and revolution evokes a kind of long march beneath forbidding skies, its occasional skirmishes between razor sharp hats and muted claps blanketed by echoing synth stabs. finally, damperhof draws the curtains and departs the dancefloor: a mournful, impressionistic cello, a slow throb, a little acid, sombre chords bouncing around the ruins... this is mirko at his most expressive
two stone-cold killers here from none other than delroy edwards & funkineven. pooling their talents as dirty analogue overlords, here the two are on one straight mission from start to finish: raw and fierce acid cuts aimed directly at those on the beer and sweat-soaked floor. these wont be around for long to be sure, so dont sleep!
authentic pew presents with its fourth release the debut of the collaboration between angel costa & attemporal under the moniker attac. forcing rhythms and well chosen acid ingredients open a wide space for a hypnotising mindtrip. the following remix by perthil & aerts reinvents the previous elements more to the floor. as patria from paris focussing on their 9-minutes-journey the deeper shades of techno, before tomohiko sagae breaks it all down with industrial noises and terrifying beats.
filippo blasi foglietti is another third ear find well worth checking. the john nixon memorial ep is trippy, dark, deep and grooving. there are four different grooves here, all of which can disconcert and disorientate. perfect for tripping up and tripping out the dance floor.

is it balearic drop a 10 inch slice of acid house perfection from one of the true masters of the genre in foolish felix dickinson! *ousana* grows slowly over a driving house beat as warm synth pads and synth leads take the track along nicely with a subtle acid line until the bassline drops. a vocal refrain joins the groove seductively cooing *i want to take you home* over the acid layers that develop in deeply hypnotic fashion. straight into the basement. on the flip coyote take the tempo down, bring out the percussion and create a balearic acid stomper. bleeps dubbed out vocals all swirl around the percussive rhythms then the acid line drops subtle and reminiscent of a certain acid house classic. early doors or at the beach bar for this mix.
