an ecletic musical representation of infamous rotterdam jazzclub bird with well-known and lesser-known dutch artists from the black music spectrum, varying from jazz, soul, hip-hop to electronic music. compiled by bird musical curators philip powel and guido van dieren.
collection of tracks recorded from 93-96 at the crate diggas palace in oxnard, california. originally pressed up on cassettes and dats, these tracks were lost for almost 25 years.

this first release called >xxx001 - lockdown era< has been conceived and created by the two italian artists during the first lockdown in march 2020 and it represents the struggle of being locked down against any human right of freedom. the remixes chosen for this importan launch are boston 168, fractions and felicie which took care of the second vinyl of this strong double ep release.
written a few years ago, black pigeon is one of fonoms first produced tracks. freshly re-mastered in 2018, the track emerges as the first release of the new producers self-run label fonos. the original engulfs in deep and dark tones with synthesizer orchestrations vividly portraying talk, communication and agonizing cry of cybernetic pigeons, while the other tracks are variations of the original as reworked by eduardo de la calle. the remixer employs jazz elements to introduce further variety of rhythm and sense of floating through time while exploring monotones, layering and space in other parts of his two remix version work with thematic hints and references to space flights aboard the >nostromo<.
