unser erstes zeitgenössisches release auf avec plaisir beinhaltet eine atemberaubende zusammenarbeit von ly nguyen aus münchen und nic jalusi von super sound global. wir haben „laguna azur“ von suncream schon vor jahren durch unsere freundin pia entdeckt und seitdem immer wieder in unseren sets gespielt, was zu fast lächerlichen mengen an id-anfragen von zuhörern in ganz europa führte. als ly und nic sich also darauf einigten, gemeinsam an einer physischen veröffentlichung zu arbeiten, wussten wir, dass dies etwas besonderes sein würde.

proxima präsentiert stolz die wiederveröffentlichung der begehrten -chasing golden planet- ep des stockholmer produzenten peter benisch, bekannt unter seinem pseudonym harmon eyes. diese seltene platte, die erstmals 1994 veröffentlicht wurde, war ihrer zeit weit voraus. sie vermischte verträumt schwebenden acid mit techno und trance und fesselte die hörer mit ihren innovativen klangwelten.

die a-seite wird von zwei künstlern aus einem unserer lieblingskollektive, de lichting, bestritten. mit „a reflection“ öffnet sich rds und präsentiert ein wunderschönes house-juwel, das einen sanften und introspektiven, aber dennoch groovigen „augen zu“-tanz ermöglicht. nathan kofi übernimmt die a2 mit seinem einzigartigen deep-house-sound, indem er süße und cineastische synthesizer-sounds über ein afro-induziertes drum-sequencing legt und so eine warme klanghülle schafft. auf der b-seite mischt james free acid-synthesizer, röhrende basslinien und breaks zu einem progressiven und subtil melodischen dancefloor-track, der einen förmlich auslöst. mit dem letzten track der platte bietet mata disk aus rotterdam ein glühendes licht über polyrhythmen und sehr elektronischen geräuschen und bietet diesem werk einen verdienten strahlenden abschluss.

von anfang bis ende ein echter dancefloor-zerstörer.

blue ist der zweite teil des neuen projekts von z@p. die a-seite beginnt mit „e-blue“, einer kraftvollen, immersiven reise von fast 9 minuten voller acid-techno-sounds und epischer vibes. die b-seite wagt sich mit „phantom“ tiefer in die materie und zeigt einen introspektiven vibe, der von einer massiven bassline angetrieben wird. zum abschluss der ep entfesselt „stomper“ eine starke, dunkle elektro-energie, die mit ihren unerbittlichen beats und eindringlichen melodien eine intensive und fesselnde atmosphäre schafft.
