mit tales from the past erscheint die erste ep der beiden münchner sinus & rafner. schon vor ziemlich genau einem jahr zeigten sie mit der auf - u6 schallplatten veröffentlichten compilation - various artists vol.1 , das von ihnen noch einiges erwartet werden kann. die a seite schmückt sinus mit seinen 2 tracks - torture me (offizieller soundtrack des - grüne sonne festivals 2014) und - dachkammer beide sind definiert durch vielseitigkeit, einer deepen atmosphäre und einem stetigen groove. auf der b seite tobt sich rafner mit seiner nummer - nordwind aus. breite flächen und lange breaks unterstützt von einem satten beat laden definitiv zum tanzen ein. abgerundet wird die scheibe durch den smoothen nordwind remix von ill-boy-phil und sebastian fleischer, welcher ein schön melancholischen abschluss zu den vorher gehenden tracks bildet.

the fourth and final sampler for the way of the samurai represents the full stylistic diversity of the label samurai music. hobzee & zyon base were asked to design a tune specifically for this project and when 1000 paper cranes arrived in the inbox it was obvious they had a very firm grasp on the sound the label was looking for. fluid, gliding vibes and a subtle sexy vocal ease the tune into its rhythm. the breaks and bass provide a step reminiscent of photek to the eastern sonics that unwind themselves around the rhythm.

in celebration of their five-year anniversary, sol asylum is proud to present its fifteenth release on the label. this time around freerotation co-founder and modular synthesis master, steevio delivers a fresh cut of his distinctive modular sound. finishing off the package is a stellar artwork from his partner suzybee that is not only beautifully intricate but delivers an important message. “zephyr” presents steevio’s signature on the fly improvisational approach to creating music in real time with his complex modular set-up. each track presents a different mood of his infectious analogue shuffle, sophisticated melodic lines and ever evolving sequences that will transport the listener directly into the future.

cinthie is best known for her imprint beste modus. for ground service cinthie delivers two strong floor bangers that will fulfill your needs on setting your crowd on fire. zky of cab drivers remixed both of the tracks. his interpretations with additional sounds and basslines give them a more jacidish twist.

with his newest ep goa tee, moscoman finds himself seven releases deep into his 12 part treisar series. living up to its name, the seventh piece of the puzzle is the trippiest of the series yet, kicking off with some of my fears, a piece if outer space hypnosis carried by a rolling percussion and bass combo that will keep firmly stomping across dancefloors. reflecting the mood set on the a side, moments in space sees moscoman channel his italo flair while reaching out for a rave indebted sonic palette. final track chinchilla closes on delirious sounds and 8 bit melodies rubbing shoulders with a lovingly syncopated beat. a weapon all exotically inclined djs will be reaching out for a their next jungle party.

hamburg’s fine impro-trio treibgut blesses us with a wonderful ep this summer. after a brief hiatus the three boys have refined their trademark sound even more - sitting confidently somewhere between techno, house and melodic electronica. while treibgut’s shows normally are almost ethereal snapshots due to their improvisational nature, we were able to convince them to hold down two of their finest results on tape. the outcome is a two-track ep - complemented by spot-on reinterpretations from two early supporters of our label: iorie and the duo peng peng. one remix convinces with a straight-forward club approach while the b-side is a bit more mellow and relaxed.

unto the sons of the royal amphibians were given by lot, throughout their families and out of the tribe of zebulun, twelve records. the fifth ep in the treisar series sees moscoman deliver a new piece of dancefloor dazzle with the royal amphibian international ep. just across the nile kicks off down in the sluggish ends of the club. flamboyant claps and hypnotizing accordion stabs hint at brighter climates but the darkness of the bass threatens from beneath. express way explores broken beats before resolving into a 4x4 drive stocked with balearic flair and ominous vocal chops, while its dub counterpart brings the ep to a melodic close with an unhurried, glistening rework.
