slam city jams is back with its second release, produced by young brussel based artist kassett. this multi-talented dude not only makes great music, but also does visual arts (look at that amazing fanzine coming with the record) and has his own label & artist collective called midlife. kassett aka gavin vanælst isn’t about genres, but about emotions when it comes to his music. however, asking him what he would call the sound he makes, his simple answer is: rave ambient. the all i feel 1 million ep‘ is a record full of diversity. it reaches from emotional and dreamy, arp-based ambient tracks with rave and trance references, to broken beats, weird synth solos, up to a rough but melodious techno tune. finally the cherry on top of this special ep, is a remix by lobster theremin regular imre kiss. he delivered a dark and dubby version of the a2, that sounds like it was recorded underwater.

dustin zahn has gained over 10 years of experience a unique musical diversity as a producer and as a performer. after his recent release on drumcode he is on suara with this enormous ep. *calm like a bomb* is a constant and regular bomb dropping that if you start dancing it will leave you exhausted. it is such a powerful track! this amazing track comes backed with two remixes from two of the best producers in the worldwide scene: paco osuna and slam. osuna does an incredible groovier and darker production while slam brings the cut to another techno level. this is definetely one of the eps of the year!

ali renault s ever on-point vivod label welcomes uk techno stalwart tobias schmidt to the table for a return to a time when techno could be slamming, witty and downright fun at the same time. higher is loaded with funk, riding some kind of bassy lick with tightly wound drums and off-kilter synth warbles, but then -glass walls- ramps up the madness with a lead line that will stop people in their tracks before making them freak out with gusto. -pink milk- shows no let up in the energy, although the parping trumpet lines that lead the track give everything a jaunty, upbeat feel compared to the darkness of the a side. play people is a true tribute to the wonky techno scene schmidt came up with, all skronky swing and lopsided synths for all the true techno freaks out there.
