currently fizzing up summer crowds on his european tour, the argentinian renaissance man is testing his wares, as he prepares to unveil his third artist album at the turn of 2019. set for release on the martinez brothers perennial cuttin headz imprint, it will herald a fresh jacking chapter for the artist who famously refuses to sit still. an instant statement of intent, ‘so dope’, the first taster from the forthcoming long-player, lives up to its name with a thumping nyc swing, loose twanging slap-bass pops, trippy vox overlays, springy rhythmic elements and all essential conga rolls. with its concrete-thick groove, ‘so dope’ commands an equally robust remixer rollcall. which is exactly what the martinez brothers have recruited... the bossmen themselves get elbow deep with a warped and twisted bassline that snakes around the stately jacking beat, gradually becoming more warped and wonderful as the track progresses. djebali follows with a precision contrast as the vocal shots wrap themselves tightly around a timeless 909 beat and subtle tracks of venomous acid while heartthrob flips it into an all-out rolling techno experience. dope ain’t the word.

strange alliances holds two striking and contemporary tracks by the tel aviv native – who also has releases out on turbo and life and death - plus remixes by trikk and rebolledo. and so it seems the amsterdam based label has another winner on their hands. with autarkic having an exceptional personality one would expect the same from his music. and this is exactly what you get with strange alliances, as his originality shines through on both tracks. interesting fact is that autarkic used a lot of live instruments and his own vocals on both tracks, adding to the ingenuity of the dgtl 006 release.

they say we are a product of our environment, you are what you eat and you reap what you sow. but what happens when you can no longer dig the earth and your food is toxic? amselcom has forever been near the forefront of change, exposing new ideas and giving insight through music and creativity. our goal was always to bring the world closer by removing barriers and letting sounds and rhythm demonstrate humanity’s true, loving nature. that is why a transformation has taken place and with this latest release we hope to give back and contribute without the shallow, meaningless compensation that feeds the music industry. geplantes nichtstun demonstrates this concept perfectly, by saying it is time to remove ourselves from the machine and make our own way, in our own time. these tracks look to offer introspective that can only be found after eliminating barriers like money and fame. taking time for idleness lets us forget about the things that try and control our lives, a necessary respite in a time of increasing global noise. tracks like opak offer the perfect accompaniment to a quiet time of soulful reflection and mario wagner’s wonderful control room image brings us the idea of self direction and taking charge of your own destiny… one rest at a time.
the heavy industrial crunch and rubbery synths of fraks trademark sounds come to hypercolour with the four track berga magic ep. the swedish techno trio have been active since the late 1980s, issuing cassette tapes (and later, vinyl) filled with blueprint techno and electronica on their own boerft records label. following in the footsteps of severed heads, d.a.f. and devo, frak have truly embraced performance art and experimental minimalism over the years, never compromising, always innovating. the berga magic ep comes brimming with raw analogue explorations and delightfully incongruous noise.
psp-dancer : the name says it all. this song is about electronic music between past and present, hyper funky, a glitter ball full with memories between flared pants and hedonism and yet straight forward for the year 2018. that s no surprise as for decades it would have been hard to imagine the rhine-main house and techno scene without frankfurt bedrocks pauli steinbach, sascha dive and patrick kunkel, not least because of their cocoon affinity. patrick kunkel and pauli steinbach take out the acid disco hammer full with endorphine acceleration towards dance floor. deep vibes recordingsimpresarios sascha dive and pauli steinbach form a disco reverb mix with a house-like depth between wild pitch and balearics, with kinky disco elements shimmering through again and again. try to take it high

our first release is by one of our favourite artists and genius musician, stl. we spoke to stephan in great length about our concept and idea for the label, after some time he sent us these specific tracks. manoeuvring along dubby and dusty grooves, with dreamy melancholic ambient textures and a epic 17 minute -untitled dubscape-. this record is as much to dance too in a club as it is to listen too at home.

seth troxlers definitive dance floor label play it say it has a real coup for their next single: a collaborative track from trendsetting and globally renowned brothers nic fanciulli and mark fanciulli, one that is likely to become an anthem for the months ahead. the high impact star is the sort of big, muscular main room tune that blows crowds away. built around barreling drums and rubbery bass, the track is brought to life with a classic vocal sample from rose royces 1978 hit wishing on a star that truly sets the whole thing on fire. creeping synth sounds add another edge to things and the results are sure to sweep up even the biggest of dance floors. the superb dub version has even more focus on the monstrous drums and allows the synths to breath that bit more for extra euphoric effects. this is a brilliant pairing and it s no surprise the prominent brothers come up with some real house heat here.
heavily supported by the likes of raresh. not to be missed.... fourth in this eee series, following three outrageously good and well received records to date, sees another one-sided, hand-stamped bomb. the artist behind it, as always, is being kept under wraps but there s no hiding the fact that this is some seriously heavyweight club ready business.

diving into nu’s musical world is like a butterfly’s flight through the tropical nature of the peruian andes. orchídeas. cantutas. mariposa. at berlin’s bar25 club, nu was a pioneer. with his organic sounds, he paved new paths and set the foundation for a new genre: relaxed, open-minded, playful, floating, full of soul and depth.under the alias canu, he and mexican world-traveler alejandro castelli draw us under a spell once again with “mariposa“. the unwavering beat grooves to the sound of the melody. equally inspired by his music, bedouin, kmln, viken arman and davi each contribute a remix to this single. these four artists are also among the brightest stars on the night‘s horizon. let’s fly little mariposa…
voigtmann’s debut album ‘sublunary’ is assembled from a wealth of elements and directions glued together by claus’ own way of sculpting and arranging sounds. in the spirit of a true album he spans an arc of tension from earie ambient via house to techno and breaks under his unique blanket of deepness. ‘the result is what happens when gentle craziness, selfishness, and honesty meet with unrestricted freedom of producing’
‘neverending story’ opens with ‘a dimension reflected’ and its introductory mixture of keys and beats. the beat is built upon piece by piece, while slippery synths fill in the upper registers. the second track, ‘planet texture’, opens with a blossoming pad which is soon joined by a steady kick and some bouncing synths. before long an adventurous bassline joins in and puts the track into full groove mode. there’s a twinkling synth floating above it all, sometimes present, sometimes not, making you wonder if you’re really hearing it at all. next up is the first track on the b-side, ‘old problems’. filled with little samples and microsounds, the track uses its beat to push through heady and sometimes disorientating array of colours that swirl across the track. a wide synth enters affairs a third of the way in and helps push the track out onto the dancefloor. ‘neverending story’ comes next, featuring a skittering beat and atmospherics that seem to come from far away. a low bassline pops in and out of the track here and there, while pondersome some keys complete the mood. the ep closes with ‘algorithm’, another scrambled, unpredictable track. the track opens with a rainbow of keys and synths, darting between your ears in their affected manner. an almost glitchy ambient track, it brings to a calm close a fantastic release.
