the good thing, if we talk about real artists is: their music never gets old. titonton duvante presents another essential record on his new classic series. this time it s the -furity ep- which came out on the legendary multiplex label 1998. all tracks are re-mastered and the music couldn t sound fresher than today!

titonton duvante presents residual classic. this series is created to all the outstanding releases titonton did in the past on various labels. some of those are not active anymore but the music needed a return on vinyl and with residual classic there is now the right platform.

midwest groove master titonton duvante joins the god particle family with licentious gopa06. a1 licentious duvante displays his master of musical yin and yang with title track licentious. mischievous synth tones dip between a steady line of kicks and claps and bounce above a deep sea-dwelling bass line. b1 permittivity permittivity is a bottom heavy party starter with hints of acid and subtle vocal samples. warm synth keys wash over the last half of the track, perfect for sending out cosmic smoke signals. b2 sans compunction closing track sans compunction takes us on a darker drive, exploring the outer nebula. ominous synth lines dance along duvantes signature flirtatious rhythms.

from detroit and passing thru chicago on the soul research train, comes titonton duvante, a multi-faceted artist who has been in the us scene for over 15 years, and has been making the motor city music scene proud ever since. recapitulate, ep vol1 is new and a pot of inspiration. two tracks which mix detroit grooves and sounds with a chicago style rhythm. recapitulate, produced with christopher rau, is experimental and ethereal. the ep ends with a yotam avni, a young and talented artist from israel, who takes recapitulate into techno with no compromises.

embryonic ep by columbus, oh artist titonton is brought back to the forefront exactly 20 years after its original release on metamorphic recordings. 4 tracks of that warm and deep midwest techno like nobody else can do it. titonton s totally unique style has definitely withstood the test of time, and like most music created independently of trends it will always sound fresh. we re living in the times that this music was created for and later on down the road when space djs play these cuts from the orbital terrace, it will be for their times too. out of print since the initial pressing it has now been remastered from the original studio tapes for optimum sound quality.

mosaic split series kickstarts 2014 with three solid tracks of silky deepness that build upon the mosaic sound of old whilst remaining firmly in the present.

titonton duvante is back with his classic touch of deep percussive funk, dreamy undercurrents, bent strings and sharpened metallic sounds. hinode is a rising italian duo currently residing in berlin, and they have produced a fresh acidic remix of provovative.maarten mittendorff and jasper wolff are talented djs, producers and label-owners, and produced an uptempo remix with their typical detroit style.

mr raoul k finally got one of his personal ‘heroes to do a remix on one of his tracks. joe claussel takes ‘ayoka (taken from ‘neo-evolution 02?) to a whole new level. he adds a lot of jazz-tingend sounds (especially percussion) and athmosphere but manages to keep the overall african timbre of the original.

classic sounding track by two long going and respected techno heads.. fabrice lig and titonton. these guys take it back to the early nineties when techno was still fresh and new... the days that titonton and dan curtin were debuting with their sophisticated techno sound. raw funky 909 percussion, bleepy analogue synths and great warm string sounds and beautiful melodies. purist techno tracks that never go out of style and reminds the old blokes why we loved techno in that period so much. and it shows the young cats that there is more then the standard dj tool techno! beanfield is on remix duty here... and he delivers an updated modern dancefloor friendly house version with a great string section that reminds a bit of knights of the jaguar and a killer bassline after the break. check!

streator’s “mystic side dept.” grabs the needle first with a bumping garage cut ready for the floor. a2 “run like hell”, from philly’s maxine & cleo, is a hazy, stuttering acid tip. the philly head’s second appearance on the imprint alos sees him with some company, bringing friend from hometown kansas city along for the ride - tito fuego.
his track “out to morales” delivers on the flip. a stomping dance number that consistently evolves with a fluctuating, never tiring synth. eva 00 closes out the ep with “i guess it’s inspiring” - a glittering melody punctuated with a deep erratic bass line that keeps true to the parisian’s roots.
