my favorite robots next release is a very special remix by dj tennis. it initially comes as a 10 white vinyl and will then be available digitally in autumn. mfrs ‘barricade was first released on dj tenniss life and death label back in 2012. it was a huge house track that resonates to this day, so it makes sense the taste- making italian steps up to remix it. he is someone with a cultured take on brooding house and techno, as evidenced by the music he a&rs for his label as well as things like his own standout dj-kicks mix from last year. his new remix is a masterfully melancholic one that starts with a delicate ambient synth line hanging in mid air. breathy vocals eventually arrive to send shivers down the spine and finally, deep, rolling, mid tempo kicks bring a groove that carries you away into a reverie. its made all the more mournful and poignant thanks to some broad synth chords and swirling pads later on and is sure to provide a real centre point of any seriously emotional set. this is a stunning and absorbing single and another high point for my favorite robot records.

after the success of the fantastic album, atomic age, no.19 music released recently from canadian musical talents my favorite robot, the label has decided to enlist four acclaimed producers to provide remixes of key tracks. detroit bad boy jimmy edgar, chicagos kate simko and legendary techno producer mr. g all appear on this great ep.

sashas last night on earth continue with their ethic of releasing the highest quality electronic music. this time sees torontos my favorite robot deliver their occupation ep. following on from a successful release on life and death which featured mixes from photek and mano le tough as well as their debut appearance at ibizas infamous circo loco party at dc-10, they supply two superbly crafted tracks. both tracks on the ep, the liability within and wired which features phonogenic on hand with production duties, are full of analog warmth and technically brilliant programming. assets of which are clear to see in all mfr productions and with previous releases on visionquest and crosstown rebels it shows why they are so hotly tipped for this year

italian dj and producer slok is no stranger to circle music. in 2010 he released his great album rain on circle music after the previous released releases funky finger and freak in 2009. in 2011 he followed up a release on circle music,roccos hard scene incl. a stunning remix by hermanez followed.for his first single in 2012 slok, he invited brothers in crime my favourite robot aka voytek korab, james teej and jared simms from canada to sing the vocals.lately these three guys had a release on life and death and were remixed by art department. on top of this nice package we have subb-an who had a few releases on damian lazarus crosstown rebels or culprit with several hits and finally label mate lopazz from berlins get physical together with his film producer casiocasino.

a time machine appeared to us recently in a cloud of smoke and a giant portal of light. out of the portal a smoking piece of futuristic metal emerged and fell onto our floor. closer examination revealed it to be a time capsule sent from the future. a message from the year 2043, it contained diagrams of futuristic machines from what looks to have been the studio sessions of the recordings presented here. here is what we found, a 2 track ep (plus remixes) from artists from the future. recordings made 21 years from now but from artists who you may have already heard of today.

crosstown rebels get set to unleash the power of the model feat. my favourite robot with a vampish feast of 80s proto-house in -still in my heart- followed by a playful epic rework from ivan smagghe and a dose of warped late night techno courtesy of two mesmerising brett johnson remixes. the model makes a storming entrance into the crosstown camp with the original of -still in my heart- spinning a circus of 80s inspired melodies, rave synths, techy bleeps and stabbing bass. my favourite robots soul-penetrating vocals nonchalantly weave a darker thread through the dizzy heights of electro stylings supplying a vein of moody romance
