ed dmx, electro-veteran und ehemaliger künstler der rephlex records roseter dmx krew, nimmt sich die bekannte geschichte von jorge luis borges über die bibliothek von babel vor, die angeblich alle sprachen der welt enthält. hinter dem konzept des albums stecken einige tiefgründige philosophische Überlegungen, aber das überlassen wir ed, um es zu erklären. stattdessen sagen wir ihnen, dass von anfang bis ende eine menge der typischen 80er-jahre-synthie-verspieltheit zu hören ist, mit einem generell eher sanften und soundtrack-bezogenen als frenetischen und tanzflächenfüllenden vibe, selbst bei schnelleren stücken wie „the combed thunderclap“. dennoch weiß ed, was er tut, wenn es um diese art von elektro-material geht, und es ist ein lohnender, nie langweiliger hörgenuss.
