been to long - the well remebered chorus of a successfull parisian duos single hit comes easily to mind while thinking of the latest internasjonal release. after a long hiatus - which feels like surely way long - we restart with one half of the formerly well known milanese pair - boogie drama - and it s very own lele sacchi. deejaying since 1995 sacchi has been and is still one of italys and especially milans musical icons - at least for electronic and alternative worlds, presents himself in his signature style. high on the heals of the success with rebirths smash lele sacchi vs blonde redhead - youre only kosmiquest is dark and cryptic, with a mean but very neat and elegant bassline plus an unmatched groove and feel for the floor. this time well balanced with a tad into psycheledic strinig heaven, wich combined with electronic effects is his ultimate kosmische quest. the whole thing is contered by an airy and superbright no less danceable lauer version and a fantatsic relaxed italo take on kraut which can propably be non done much better than byprins thomas walking on that lunga strada!

alr001 is tech-house based track features one late-night club cut of pure, padded brilliance. the original mix is a meditative, as it blissfully sways between softly thumping bass and euphoric synth snippets. hamburg based well known dj cess (formally from also known from cocoon booking) re-edited the track for dj s with a male spoken monologue that, despite being a tad pretentious, actually kind of weirdly works. fittingly, its the most dance floor appropriate of the bunch and would slip nicely into a bleary-eyed, 6am sunrise set.

here we have their third release, available in very limited back cat quantities it s walter gibbons getting down in abba s under-floor heated studio on part 1 with part 2, slowing things a tad and amping up the bass elements into a slinky topside mover, while part 3 slips us fully into cruise control, as we drop anchor and gaze up at the stars, just before sly and robbie pop aboard for some early morning cocktails

the original, with a well-constructed bassline incorporates a warm up melody that begins to set the tone for the night ahead. each layer is distinct as the track begins to build itself right to its crescendo when each of those individual layers collectively come together. you can distinctly hear the 80 s like synths that are cleverly inserted into the track which are highlighted by the female vocal samples. the grittier elements add a touch of darkness and instantly transport you to a warehouse club with an intimate atmosphere. the remix, done by the widely loved tech-house duo pleasurekraft jack up the tempo a notch, and add a bouncy groove to the track. where the original brought out a darker side, the remix is more upbeat and settles in well for a peak hour set. bringing that crisp bassline to the fore, and tuning out the melodies to make them a tad subtler it showcases a more tech-house version of the original. there s an added element a slightly more haunted vibe which is coupled together with those gritty and harder elements. all i can conclude is what a tech-house bomb this is from the highly talented pleasurekraft. they always manage to bring something new and unique to every single track they ve ever remixed which truly shows their remarkability as consistently good producers.

vin sol & matrixxman open up their label, soo wavey, to newcomer en who drops this 4 track ep (including a remix by vin sol & matrixxman) of house and techno. the lead track truth steps out of the gates swinging with aggressive yet tucked tr-909 programming sitting nicely alongside dark motifs. ens and reality then delves into menacing minimal drone techno territory, ultimately yielding to a subtle call and response exchange among dueling 808 tom bass lines. on the flip side, 4u lighten things up a tad with soulful, atmospheric detroit chords supplying a much needed breath of fresh air. last but not least, vin sol and matrixxman join in on the fun supplying a hypnotic, off kilter reworking of 4u imbuing the remix with restrained chicago jacking vibes that flawlessly straddle the divide between house and techno. limited to 500 copies (no repress!).

starting things off we have runnin out, a mid-tempo memphis horn-led beauty of a track originally out in 1968. soulbrigada take the original, toughen up the bottom end, add in kicks, claps and percussion and the odd filter, speed things up a tad and lengthen the track getting the most out of mable john s effortless and gargantuan diva-esque vocal delivery. on the flip we have another soulful treat with a killer rare groove cut from 1971. originally recorded by lee sain (and arranged by charles miller) soulbrigada extend the intro, add in drums, samples and effects all adding to a truly infectious groove and vocal that will have you screaming out for more.

us native and techno newcomer 785 blasts onto the scene with a stellar debut 12inch. kansas native 785 debuts with his first 12inch ever on jerome sydenhams apotek records. it is clear this evasive sound engineer has a special gift to craft techno from sources others may have never dared to tap. the a-side mada theory is a display of pure techno diversity with slight nods to dub, ambient and the upper class of minimal. a record whose beauty may lay in it simplicity until one witnesses the complex chaos it causes on dance-floors. the flip, east box, gets a tad more mechanical utilizing drilling kicks and a host of atmospheric sounds sliding in unison with machine rhythms, coagulating into some hardened molten tech-funk. both tracks have that special something that makes them standout.what has he employed that others havent? a phenomenon well have to wait to decode until he unleashes his next pack of roving beats.

after 7 years of staying out of the limelight, mille & mr.hirsch (playhouse, newpolish, r.a.n.d. musik and much more!) are back with new material. the new imprint owes its name to a group of berlin artists called apollo krieg who produce fashion, artworks and whacky installation art. with berlin as their base, mille & mr.hirsch hang around & see much of their work influenced by the work of this group and decided to name it after this group of artists – true to the motto: nowadays the guys from apollo krieg also produce music. side a: (apollo/alpha) golden age is the classical, heart-warming, romantic and seemingly never-ending deephouse epic which finds its place somewhere between detroit house, balearic, jazz and funk. it is always a tad larger than life and opulent in harmony and melody but, with due to its well-defined instrumentalization, it seems somehow traditional. this track has a 9-minute arc of suspence and is devoid of any drum-machine orgies and razzle-dazzle a unique piece of shit!side k: (krieg/kokain) kinky love is a bit more modern, with more track, less melody and less music. the mix of strong samples (e.s.p./kinky go) with slightly dark and deep functional track make this 8-minute track a potential floorfiller! best regards apollo krieg berlin

and once gain we are back. after a welcome pause dumb unit returns with an energetic four tracker from our man in nyc : elon. a long time label mate elon strips it all back to create a bumping and infectious groove that while resolutely dumb unit is uncharacteristic in its nakedness! no decor here, only pure syncopated and pushing rhythms to notch it up a tad. perfect for leading the lions back to the warehouse and off the beach into the cooler months. >put those shades away son we going inside<. the energetic pacers of elon are complemented by a deeper excursion, a superb exercise one remix that takes the original and works it into a pulsing main floor late night jam.

ché ché the >ché ché< project produced by sid vaga & guillaume boulard featuring adeline michele is finally out now ondate in a limited vinyl pressing 4. being parisian by birth and martiniquaise by heritage, adeline brings her suave and erotic voice with words in créole to this deep, soulful yet tribal track filled with african instrumentations. >ché ché< also has its dub version >ché ché le dub< which becomes a tad more electronic, keeping the original roundness of the track. wen are also proud to announce a remix by highly renowned producer roy davis– a gem!

jay haze aka fuckponys superb ode to love in general and loved-up ravers in particular provides us with another sparkling gem: the second single from his current lp has the equally romantic and revealing title >i m burning inside<. it allows us to clearly feel that love-fuelled power, but never lets us get close enough to the fire to get seriously burned. jays sound is simply a tad too cool for that. despite all the emotional appeal, he always keeps a wink in store to save us right at the brink. the remixers reboot and paul ritch give far more obvious signals. both of them say loud and clear: dance!

villa nah makes pure electronic pop with plenty of emphasis on catchy melodies and meticulously crafted soundscapes reminiscent of the 1980s. stylewise, villa nah is related to 80s bands like heaven 17 or new order, but that is only the tip of the iceberg. once you ve heard their debut single, you ll know that villa nah is about nothing else but their own style and sound. the single opener ways to be is built around a synth bassline, handclaps and the kind of irresistible melody that you cant shake out of your head once you ve heard it. envelope is a tad more dark with an uplifting synth melody serving as a hook. daytime, in contrast to its title, evokes a strong sense of night time. villa nahs vocalist juho paalosmaa is a very charismatic performer, whose great sense of stage drama brings to mind a young glenn gregory or philip oakey. indeed, villa nah is not merely a production duo but an actual band with a live show that is not to be missed.

byron bogues proudly presents a new artist on his label: cristian paduraru from rumania. on his debut you will find a groovy techhouse track with nice voice samples by his wife erica. byron bogues edit is deep and minimal and takes breath with its long hypnotic arrangement. robin jacob (skript) is a tad techno influenced and just as deep as the others

lexy & k-paul rmx, michael hooker mix,thomas gold, venus mix by boosta mixes! drive conjures up minimal, electronic coolness, enhanced with a tad of subversive vitality, and intertwined with melodic bass lines that seem to originate straight out of a classic new order tune

harrison crump bounces back with deeper, a full on gospel tinged song featuring dajae on vocals. driving rhythms with 80s percussive licks, along with lush strings, brass swells and a piano breakdown, propel a gritty sounding dajae to new heights, lifting you up on a warm feeling of well being. funk monkeys supply the remix, getting a tad tribal and freaky as they go in search of the k hole

a bass-driven groover, with a few techy elements complimenting the solid bassline, menacing vocal sample, and crisp beats. the dub mix fattens up the bass and slows the tempo a tad, turning the track into a dubbed-out house funker. on the reverse, how long is a bit brighter than it counterparts on the other side

i always like to think my stuff is music for a warm but rainy day . low frequencies do something to your muscles when you listen to them. there have been studies of low frequencies contracting your muscles, and because they contract certain muscles you have the urge to move, you know, to get rid of that itchy feeling in your arms and legs. so that would be a reason to dance. hailing from eindhoven, which back in the day had ties with many chicago and detroit artists and labels. i think what makes music interesting is when an artist incorporates his/her influences and translates it into a unique sounding style. although it might sound a tad arrogant, i d like to think of my music as martyn music . i try not to think of it as dubstep or techno, or house or drum & bass, it s not about genres, it s about music
