Vancouver based producer, Woodhead, adds Masterworks Music to his list of accomplishments with the minty fresh 12” EP, -Deeper Than Love- just around the corner. After making his bed with the likes of Editorial, Royal Soul and Homebreakin , it’s no surprise Masterworks would be all hot and heavy over these thumpin cuts. Kicking things off on the sleazy tip is -Be With You,- a mid-tempo funk number that carries an irresistible vibe, bumpin Moog bassline and a chug that is sure to inspire more than one dancefloor to do the Hustle. Taking things a bit deeper is -I Love You,- with it’s hypnotic chords, brooding sub-bass and twirling groove. Flip the disc over to catch -Love So Fine,- which lightens things up a tad thanks to a shuffling rhythm and layers of chords and soulful vocals. EP closer, -Whenever You’re Around- amps things up with a heavy dose of 80’s chunk and funk… serious business to get the party all hot and sticky.
