_asstnt sound comes from the heart of a passionate artist conveying romanticism, truth and dedication within his music and philosophy. the dj and producer from madrid breaks into the underground scene with an industrial, dirty and melancholic sound that stems from his love for hardstyle or hardcore that was instilled in him from an early age. in 2017 his first track was released on an involve records compilation together with the artist roll dann before starting the opera 200 label together in 2020 whose inaugural release saw the light of day in february 2020 and picked up support from the likes of charlotte de witte, matrixxman, truncate, fernanda martins and many more.

_asstnt & roll dann collaborate to deliver the inaugural release on their opera 2000 imprint entitled -back from the morgue-. -back from the morgue- kicks things off with blistering drums scattered around growling modulations and twisted vocals keeping the atmosphere weird yet wonderful before -the hill of hanged- continues with resonating kicks fused with undulating, grime-influenced strings and sinister elements throughout. on the flip, -coalescence- maintains the effervescent moods through storming grooves, dramatic soundscapes and powerful oscillations while -dirty mistress- features heavy, syncopated percussion peppered with distortion and dystopian leaning oscillations to bring this beautifully dramatic ep to a close.

what can be said about the girl whose greatest friend was the mist? it can be said she was never short of adventure, for each time the mist cleared, it had a new surprise. rabbits and rocking horses came out of hats the size of hills, armies of ants played in marching bands, deer danced, giraffes juggled, elephants tap-danced atop the moon, flowers bloomed in the sky, and stars shone on the ground, because, why cant down be up? with the mist there was always the kind of hocus pocus that twisted itself into a pocus hocus, a shenanigan or a hijinks so high it could not be jinxed, but it had to be jumped. by a fish flown by a boy from out of town. it was enough to make her giddy with happy.
