turbolenz is a new label from offenbach run by philipp lenz aka delenz. the first label s release comes from shayde, the brain child of delenz and his partner richard hötter. titled „ama il buco- (italian natives get the joke here), it features a very diverse spectrum of sounds and moods. „ama il buco- a slow grower and steady groover that will get many bodies moving and is some ready-to-get-naked material for sure. „kühlschrank in f-moll- is a rather dreamy, yet positive and escapistic affair. insert your favourite sunrise after a long night out here. the flip side starts with a remix by none other than swayzak, the mighty tech house duo from london. their take on „ama il buco- is a crisp and cool peak time affair for a moment of contemplation – if that makes sense. the last track „ofwebach- is obviously an homage to delenz home town offenbach. apparently a more uptempo and experimental terrain, „ofwebach- is something else. all in all, the result is a rock-solid 4-track debut release on turbolenz or as they say in offenbach and frankfurt: megastabiles ding.

sebastian mullaert, swedens long standing techno, experimental and ambient producer, is back on mule musiq with three deep tunes that shake your emotions profoundly. on the a-side the epic track mirror seduces with discreet claps, a kind of drunken groove, deeply meditative tones and a twisted melody that arrests your emotions inwardly. on the b-side you find two tracks by the same name: broken mirror. b1 is a sensible layered grower that delivers unhasty grooving minimal techno for those who love to dance slow. the second broken mirror tune comes as a wa wu we reflection, is even more slow, but still deeply groovy and packed with mesmerizing sound particles that stretch your mind and soul endlessly. electronic music straight from the heart. full of human sensitivity delivered with sebastian mullaerts very own signature feeling for rhythmical journeys full of musicality and details in melody, chords and tones.

a1 --aqua lifeforms- is perhaps the least intense cut on the record, a sort of a slow grower which builds up momentum by layering sounds and pads. a2 -body mover- is exactly what the title tells you. crunchy peak time tune for the dance floor, with shuffling broken beats wrapping around deep chords that hint what s happening on the flip side. b1 -doorway to her- is a nod to the classic deep techno chord-ish approach. well, sort of. the song lets you think that until the first curveball just before the half of the track. after that, it s just deeper than deep. b2 -pulsing hearts- is another well-crafted dance floor cut. the track moves from deep meditative vibe to subtle acid tripping, just to be finished with a proper bass workout. overall, we couldn t think of a better way to mark the 10th barba release.

bond commander petter b lands on planet rhythm with a bombshell record that contains 3 staggering originals and a fierce re:axis remix. the opening effort *cc21* is a rough repetitive pacer that will definitely turn some heads. *transporter* serves as a vibey yet evolving piece of work that builds up the tension but let s go every now and then. *protoportal* is yet again a repetitive grower with a somewhat less dark build as the opening tracks. re:axis closes down with a robust rework of *transporter*. belter record.

acid night keeps on quatting the 303 new generation. and goes to mr from rehkold and tomeen. in italy. for 4 4-tracker opening on an psychedelic hard tribe 170 bpm grower. then begins a 150 bpm hard techno acid hanging-on track. b-side opens with a break acid digger, carrying a 70s synth ambiance in the backward. finally, the last tune returns back to the 170 bpm wiith a cool story of acid waves searching the digging possible way

magic wire label head lone picks another smasher, aptly titled delirium tremens, from the elusive neon jung with a suitably precise re-edit from nathan fake on the b.side, fresh after his last remix for radiohead. delirium tremens takes on flavours of garage, soul and psychedelia and glues it all together with an armour plated, mutant electro backbone designed to make the dancefloor lose it for 4 minutes but still keeps the soul firmly intact. its another demonstration of neon jungs ability to take influences from many genres and join the dots to create something fresh, but with all the right reference points to make this accessible to everyone from your backpacking beat head to the hardcore club frequenters. the bass in the first drop of this track is just berserk – theres no other word for it. the b side sees nathan fake up the tempo but draw it out, making this perfect for the more patient crowd. it has nathans signature beat all over it – it rotates, swings and soars gloriously until it finally ends in a warm afterglow, complementing the original perfectly in its grower not a shower approach.

ah yes, the carter bros. the mysterious duo from down under who put out a 12 inch on rush hour recently. wild cats ep holds four cuts that represent the carter bros sound, which can only be described as an eclectic brew of dancefloor detonators. it starts out with >i didnt need you<, a devastating grower that gets into your brain and burrows a special little place for itself. forever. then, the title track, which is strictly deep, pumping and emotional vibes for the discotheque. on the flipside, >run< is skank-tastic business. already charted by the likes of radio slave and others. the ep ends with >no caller i.d.<, a track that shows the depth of talent these two brothers(?) really have. limited to 300 copies. vinyl only release

at the time of its original release in 1993, detroit techno producer carl craig was known mostly to a small circle of collectors in europe. his early releases on transmat and fragile had become cult classics on the techno underground. these were followed by a series of stunning releases on his co-owned retroactive label. 1993 saw carl launch his planet e label and he released an ep by 69 followed by an ep of material by art owner kirk degiorgio (future/past) and ed handley of the black dog (balil). it return it was agreed carl would record an ep for art - which became art 3. the new recordings included a dance floor stomper - >chicken noodle soup< and typically moody down-tempo grower >how the west was won< and an ambient end-piece >sleep<...
