fantastic album by contemporary percussionist robyn schulkowsky (john cage, iannis xenakis, morton feldman) and live electronic music veterans gebrüder teichmann.

with the second release noland tracks moves from nigeria to poland: non human persons saturn melancholia is an early song of the polish band based on guitar & voice + processor, recorded in warsaw some years ago. with their remix gebrüder teichmann turned the song into a sacral techno anthem. a deep and dark trip with nico in the heart and mdma in the blood. the b-side features the original track plus a beautiful hand carved image by brenda alamilla.

just like him, acid pauli has been on the go during the last years, building up new collabos with labels such as crosstown rebels, clown & sunset, and artists such as nicolas jaar, damian lazarius. so, now it is time to treat the own label smaul to another release.

the two brothers of gebrÜder teichmann have been regular guests at the early killekill events. that is because they have a very similar approach to electronic music as we do. first of all they are deeply in love with the music itself and not the fame, the money or whatever one might expect to get when making music, and second they have a wide musical horizon and interesting perspectives on it, because they are active on several levels, as djs, musicians, promoters etc. first of all though they got class and taste, and so we are happy to present their cooperation with one of our personla heroes and one of the very big names in early house music: johnny dangerous aka foremost poets.

after 9 successful years and 36 releases on their label >festplatten<, the teichmann brothers are already unleashing their third release, transistor vamp, on their new artist label teichtracks. true to the motto of the tt-series this offspring of analogue machinery is also designated for the dancefloor. the title track is a 12 minute trip, an unstoppable modulating organism from the deepest depths that subtly and powerfully creeps forth. you smell the greasy oil of detroit, you inhale the dusty air of berlin and when you open your eyes, the next day has already begunà here, the past is just as present as the present. deja-vu? or did transistor vamp already infect you during one of the brothers many live sets? those who turn the record over will find, alongside a condensed 7 minute edit of the title track, another independent micro organism. micro is a game of rhythm and bass, reduced to the very essence of groove. a poker face of a track whose accumulative tension spans 6 minutes. like a balloon filled to bursting it knows how to stretch its limits and, without badding an eyelid, it waits for the explosion. minimal? of course! but here you can still hear the groan of the mixer and effects!

nach dem massiven erfolg, den die gebrueder zenker mit ihrer definition von munich techno einfuhren, kommt nun endlich moechte man meinen die nummer 2 auf harry klein records. diesmal teilen sich die harry klein residents benna und kid.chic die split-ep.benna schneider, resident der ersten stunde, debuetiert hier auf ganzer linie mit seiner ersten produktion und erweitert die klanglichen parameter des harry klein sounds um eine neue richtung weird house. bereits in seinen sets zeigte sich stets eine gewisse affinitaet zu psychedelischer wirrnis, doch angesichts dieser zwei stuecke wuenscht man sich in der tat, dass bennas psychiater diese scheibe niemals zu ohren bekommt. darueber hinaus gibt auch der (releasetechnisch) ebenso jungfrõuliche kid.chic seine premiere mit einem elegant reduzierten housetrack, durchsetzt mit subtiler disco-aesthetik, die den moment der ersten sonnenstrahlen noch einmal perfekt ausformuliert. damit wõre auch alles gesagt, eine split-ep zwischen wahnsinn und liebe.

carsten franke macht nach der >professional killer ep< und der >open closed ep< den hattrick mit seiner dritten solo platte. seine tracks bewegen sich stets zwischen den stuehlen, kommen aber immer auf den punkt. dreckige basslines gepaart mit einer unbeabsichtigten funkyness lassen aufhorchen und koepfe nicken. nun ist er mit der >shadows & signs ep< zurück auf ostwind. ein funktionaler 3 tracker mit einem remix von le cuisine b., der carstens >shadow & signs< in einen klassischen 303er techno track mit old school und funk einschlag umfunktioniert. der groovige electro techhouse titeltrack, schwebt erst sachte daher, um sich nach dem mittelteil als ranziger schieber zu entpuppen. der leicht knarzige a2 track gewinnt schon am anfang und laesst durch ein aufkommendes gitarrensample die spannung steigen. track b2 hat eine gemeine acidbassline und funktioniert durch die hauptmelodie als errinnerung für den abend !! was als minimaler techno anfaengt entwickelt sich zusehens zum modernen acidtrance.. supported by gebrueder teichmann, holger nielson and monoroom
