this is the first 12inch in a series of releases for legendary midwest techno label analog records which has featured some of the biggest names in techno history starting off with new material from label honcho freddy fresh under his modulator moniker with 2 techno bangers also features a relaunch of the sought after gates release by freddy and paul mix which was originally released on analog uk division in 1996 and goes for loads of money if you are lucky enough to locate an original copy stay tuned for more action.

the second volume of the bld remixed series is here. once again, original tracks previously released have been revisited by artists that support the label since the beginning. in such good shape nowadays, oliver deutschmann delivers an outstanding remix of acid on mars pushing the limits of warehouse techno & jackin house faded with warm & hypnotic detroit chords and space-pads. as the name indicates, minneapolis legend freddy fresh delivers an ethereal mix of before deep full of nostalgic dreamy synths reminding us of his 1995 return to phantazia vibes. last one is coming from prolific asok bringing a raw and banging rework of be apart based on 808 electro beats & breaks combined with a crunchy bassline.

often overlooked in american techno history are the weird and wonderful flavours to have emanated from the mid-west over the years. no two finer exponents have there been than minnesotas paul birken and freddy fresh. their contributions date back to the early nineties when freddy was exploring the possibilities of extreme techno (via labels like labworks, experimental and his own analog) - an activity that paul took up a while later after debuting on woody mcbrides renegade communique label in 1996. teaming up for the first of two collaborations on this 12 inch, paul and freddy open with >the fate of thirty eight< - a belting slab of analogue techno, where machines shriek and squawk like possessed animals on the loose.

do you know this uncontrollable hunger to penetrate the grooves with a record needle? well, good news for all vinyl junkies. german based geoff bell shows his unique talent on >the freddy eiser show< ep while he starts off our brandnew series of 12 inch records! his music is excellent dodgy crisp & very authoritative. on the other hand he is combining euphoric, funkiness that is crying out for sunshine-barbeque with tofu burgers.

reality check a one-off project from freddy turner & jason hernandez who dropped this soulful, street-tough slice of house on strictly rhythm back in 1998. this is one of those hidden gems, tucked away in the recesses of the strictly catalogue, so it may well have slipped by under the radar save for a few dedicated heads and vinyl junkies! it s got that nyc sound, hard drums, vocal samples, tripped out loops and stabs. perfect dj material if you re into the funked out stripped back house sounds of the mid to late 90s, this one will certainly be (in) your bag. fantasy has been given some tasty 2017 remastering treatment and repressed onto a high quality, weighty 12inch for all you fiends out there, this one will keep them moving in the mix. perfect nyc house sounds here, untouched and represented in its original 1998 form, no sleeping permitted!

what can be said about kerri chandler that hasn t already been said? the man is one of the greats of contemporary house music, a true legend & one of the most hard working & consistent producers out there today. trionisphere, his (second) lp from 2003 has it all, those gritty drums, the deep garage groove, the church feeling that influences so much of his sound & those bass-lines that he s renowned for are all here, not forgetting the outstanding vocal performances from his long-time collaborator dee dee brave amongst a cast of other guests. the sounds on the lp are wide ranging, from the uplifting latin swing of ye yo ma (mother) to the sparse, pacey, heads down house of it s you we re treated to a glimpse into mr.chandler s sound world across 2x12inchs & we all know that can only be a good thing! trionisphere has always been a fond favourite with house aficionados around the world & hasn t been available for a little while.until now! fully re-mastered, re-pressed & re-released in conjunction with king street sounds, nyc & made available again for 2015 in it s original format with the permission & participation of all rights holders. now s your chance to own a piece of ny/nj house history!

wer mit freddy fischer und seiner cosmic rocktime band noch nicht so recht vertraut sein sollte, braucht vielleicht doch erst ein paar stichworte. orientierungshilfen. da hört man also einen jazzrock, den es aber geradewegs auf den tanzboden zieht. und disco. auch diese lässige eleganz der lieder, die manfred krug mal gesungen hat in den siebzigern und damit selbst die ddr etwas swing schenkte, wenigstens für einen moment. und jetzt vielleicht noch eine weitere glitzerkugel voll disco dazu. das steckt man dann alles in einen schicken smoking, und schon steht da ein freddy fischer da.
