micah shemaiah teamed up with fruits records’ studio band the 18th parallel earlier this year to produce the unanimously acclaimed “roots i vision” album on evidence music label. the album hit every charts in the reggae world and is seen as one of the best effort of 2018! in collaboration with evidence music, fruits records is proud to release on 12” maxi vinyl two of the toughest tunes of the album in their eight minutes extended versions : a side features heavyweight stepper “zion trod” and b side gives the rub a dub anthem “soul rider”. this one is a sound system must have! killer tunes + ultra heavy pressing in a early 80’s jamaican simmons style!

joseph white aka joe white is a foundation of jamaican music. he started singing in the late 50 s and did his first recordings for duke reid in the early 60 s. joe white formed the group roots, trunks & branches to release several tracks on the label splendour heights. “forward to zion” was released in 1979 and became a truly reggae roots stepper banger for sound system across the globe. probably electronic music fans will appreciate the futuristic dubwise. “forward to zion” is a song of peace, love, freedom and emancipation of people. uplift your selection, listen to the words of the prophet, it s time for us to get together, we are going forward to zion. jah don t care whether you are a natty dread or you re a baldhead, just as long as we unite and stop the fight, we are going forward to zion!

lillygood party! is a label focused on licencing tracks that alex and stephane play for years at their parties. the aim is to re-edit and revisit those jams from soul to house , jazz to afro, boogie to techno and make us and people enjoy and smile on the dancefloor because those tunes are really really good both tracks here are classics dancefloors tunes, nothing rare, just favourite tunes that alex and stéphane play in their sets. on the a side the onwards international version is longer than the original and the arrangement quiet different for more intense dancefloor action. here they both worked on the edit to find the right balance and the right sound in order to revisit the uk classic jazz funk number, a firm favourite here lillygood! the b side is an amazing disco modern soul gospel track from elbernita twinkie clark already reissued some time ago but the cherry on the cake is that you have here a 12inch version extended and a new mastering for extra loud play this version is slightly different than the original, alex extended parts: the beginning with drum intro looped for mixing and changed the end to make it longer keeping the original flavour. please enjoy as much as we do because we love those edits, we love those tunes, we love music we are very happy to share with you these limited vinyls releases

killer roots on both sides, perfect companion to his sings songs- album! double sided heavyweight roots 10inch from the late gladdy anderson. made around the same time as his killer sings songs for today and tomorrow lp (now back in stock, click here!), here again are two killer tracks with gladdys sweet vocals over hard riddims from his band the roots radics. the a-side made the rounds as a dubplate first, then the vocal and dub ended up on different albums, while the b-side saw release as a single and an album track in extended format.

gospel disco time again!!!! after the sucess of -the power of you re love- we deceded to pull out a couple more of our gospel disco dancefloor favorites. elbernita -twinkie- clark-terrell ( who was in the the clark sisters before going solo) recorded this beast for the lp ye shall receive power in 1980-81 for armen boladian s sound of gospel records out of detroit (a sub of the mighty westbound records). both tracks featured on the lp only so desperatly need some 45 action. i m not going to try and sell you this one with tales of its history all you need to do is drop the needle (or press the little play icon)..... straight up monster dancefloor destructor.

following their acclaimed *fuck off get free we pour light on everything* released in january, thee silver mt. zion memorial orchestra dust off an old chesnut from their 2005 album horses in the sky and coat it in glitter and shards of glass, not remixes really, but brand new recordings that use set-closing live favourite -hang on to each other- as a launching point for some rather glorious dancefloor excursions. the vinyl ep includes a download code.
