building on his very sexy works for the borft weirdos, jon doppler s security is a meeting of sued s minimal funk sound and the post-acid house trip of early rephlex. the elasticized acid of ciphertext, the skanky dub of wonwah, and the mammoth low end of lag down all propel from below, while the swollen synthwork on hot sauce and showstopping mk650 inspire from above. these are late, late night jams that growl ominously in the bassbins, enhancing the foggy atmosphere and begging you to stay for one last dance.

apollo proudly presents the return of sw, joined by partner svn for a sublime 6 track ep. sws lush sound design and hypnotic arrangements of 2017s the album had hearts and minds swooning following its license from sued to apollo. its balmy glory won over pitchfork (deeply expressive debut album 8/10), rolling stone (best electronic albums 2017) and xlr8r (best releases 2017) amongst many others. one year later, sw and svn have gone into the studio, together to make some original music specifically for apollo. the results are the 6 tracks on this ep, they share in a typically taciturn statement. taking inspiration from the iconic house and techno of the mid / late 90s - sw and svn combine dreamy melodies and mesmeric grooves with unfussy, focussed minimalism, their beguiling, modern take on classic sounds and rhythms remains thrillingly unique and elusive. while sw and svn are more comfortable out of the limelight, this 6 track ep for apollo once again proves that they are rightly worthy of the hype that swirls around them.

we are proud to present the 11th release on going good, fittingly by xi (sex tags mania, sued). with earlier releases fetching up to at least 3/4 times original value, xi s work is in demand and this will be only their 4th release since their first in 2009. quality over quantity being the mantra it would seem.. plus running labels, putting on parties, producing under various other guises and djing/performing live around the world also feeding into the size of output.

number three in the four part schleiben series from emotional response arrives with dont dj and tropical hi-fi at the controls. the former is the current creative endeavour of florian meyer, founder of the diskant label and one of the more experimental and academic producers to surface from dusseldorf in recent times. he also forms one third of the durian brothers. meyers kosmose is a 20 minute piece which explores the link between polyrhythmic percussion and brooding electronics understandably, its ripe with introspective qualities. offering some contrast, northern australian producer tropical hi-fi turns in oceanic mythology, a meandering journey through found sounds, psychedelia, folk music and more which sounds like listening to sued b-sides whilst tripped out on acid.

the long dormant ud project awakens with tracks from the archives + fresh-reinterpretations of their uniquely nostalgic & delicate tone poetry. part 1 of a trilogy, featuring fresh takes from svn & sw. (sued, acido, meakusma, sex tags) limited to 200 copies.
