erste offizielle neuauflage der überaus erhabenen und sehr seltenen -butterfly- lp, das 1979 in tokio von der japanischen sängerin kimiko kasai und der jazzlegende herbie hancock aufgenommen wurde. aufgrund seines extrem seltenen status als reine japan-veröffentlichung erhielt diese exquisite sammlung von covers trotz ihrer unglaublich inspirierten darbietungen von kimiko, herbie und den äußerst talentierten musikern, die für das projekt zusammengestellt wurden, nie die anerkennung, die sie verdient hatte. vom himmlischen schlagzeuger alphonse mouzon und dem renommierten organisten webster lewis bis zum bassisten paul jackson, dem reedman bennie maupin und dem master-perkussionisten bill summers haben die legendären performer erstaunlich gute vocal-versionen von herbie / headhunters jazz-funk komponiert. es überrascht nicht, dass es seit vielen jahren stark nachgefragt ist.

der stark von berlin beeinflusste maki polne mit cdv-wurzeln zeigt in -don joy s magic sunday- seine vorliebe für hochwertigen sound, denn sowohl -magic- (a) als auch -sunday- (b) klingen kristallklar und haben ein breites und farbenfrohes frequenzspektrum.

bisher unverÖffentlicht auf vinyl. syntechs zweites album -atmospheres-, das 1991 erschien, wurde vollständig von edwin van der laag komponiert und produziert. auf diesem album löst sich edwin von der tanzbaren space-synthesizer-formel und bewegt sich mit seinem atari 1040 st in stark elektronisch geprägte, ambiente, ferne, extragalaktische räume.

we celebrate our number 30 with a double pack, featuring one of the creators of techno in spain: groof.roberto gemelin, from madrid, is groof. hes robert calvin too. no matter which of his alias you know him by, hes one of the most active producers in the madrid arena.aka robert calvin, he released materials with turbo (tigas label) in 2004, having previously collaborated with star whores in a joint release with alek stark (2002). also important are the remixes he did for disko b or for sindicato records and msx, paying tribute to megabeat with his recreation of the great classic strange.his background as groof is even more extensive, as his early steps go back to the times of minifunk (the cheeky and shameless label from barcelona that was then managed by omar and dj loe). with them he recorded mambo! (1999) and i want you(2000). he has also recorded with warmup, fieber, rainwaves or shareware records.at the end of the ninetees groof shared quite unusual with oscar mulero: the start of a deep friendship that nowadays brings us wu30 mini-album.

alek stark teams up with some of electros freshest talent for this potential electro hit. the original version here is a full-on workout to get down to, with agitated vocal and hard beats, while next in line is the totally sublime >i can see the lights< featuring victoria lukas of zerkalo (heinrich mueller & victoria lukas). not to be over-shadowed however are two stealthily executed reworks from proto 70 and jauzas the shining - most definitely forward thinking electro for the body and mind. this is one ep not to be missed!

schicksal ist das pseudonym von rudi huybrechts aus belgien. stark inspiriert von front 242s erstem album geography, dafs elektronischer körpermusik alles ist gut und natürlich kraftwerks man machine und computer world.

stark inspiriert von produktionen aus großbritannien, detroit und chicago aus den späten 80er und frühen 90er jahren, die er von seinem vater kennengelernt hatte, machte sich outer order auf den weg, seine eigene sicht auf diese Ära zu erschaffen, indem er sich der damals verwendeten hardware und technik hingab und dieser 5-track-ep einen zeitlosen ton verlieh.

neuauflage der 2017er remastered vinyl-premiere, diesmal auf 180g eco-doppel-vinyl: der original-soundtrack des legendären playstation-horror-videospiels silent hill 2 von 2001, der stark von david lynchs twin peaks-serie inspiriert wurde.

die ep eröffnet die a-seite mit einem düsteren, treibenden post-punk-track von hanging freud, geht über in einen traumhaften techno-ebm-rave mit kenny campbell und beendet diese seite mit einem industriell angehauchten halb-techno/halb-elektro-track von syndikat kommando 98, einem projekt von viktor lenis (cute heels, modernista).

die b-seite ist nicht weniger stark: sie beginnt mit einem geradlinigen techno-knaller des produktiven produzenten drvg cvltvre, geht über zu einem genreübergreifenden track voller experimenteller elemente, die mit modularer synthese und harten kicks von black potion angeheizt werden, und beendet die ep mit einem angstauslösenden dark ambient-track von dim garden.

100% analoge sounds, bei denen jeder moderne computer überflüssig ist. redrays sound auf cosmic knowledge ist das ergebnis endloser jam-sessions an seinen tr-drumcomputern und verschiedenen synthesizern. das ergebnis sind sechs dancefloor-orientierte tracks, die stark von der detroit- und chicago-szene der 90er jahre beeinflusst sind.
