limited to 100 copies hand-stamped 12 inch.return to disorder is the new label from hamburg producer and dj helena hauff, known for her dark brand of ebm and electro-infused music and without doubt one of the best selectors currently playing in clubs. the act responsible for the debut release from return to disorder is children of leir, a leicester-based psych rock outfit whose influences come from mystical horror. not the sort of music one would immediately associate with hauff s floor pummelling dj sets and a hint that return to disorder will be dictated by hauffs tastes as opposed to a need to satisfy the beat. the four tracks present here are a fine introduction to children of leir, with their feedback-laden sound perfectly enhanced by the mastering skills of pete sonic boom kember.

part one of aroops brazil breakdown series was a big hit among the main players on the jazzy scene with airplay from gilles peterson and kev beadle etc. this second edition will definitely please all fans of the first volume but should also make him some new fans. on this release you will find 3 tracks in various tempos and sound but with one common detail ... brazil! all three tracks have their own sound but are designed to rock any party where the summer and sun is in focus.

following his release on peter van hoesens time to express late last year, sp-x drops his third ep for komisch. fans of >signal path experiments< and >field lines never end< will not be disappointed as the brussels - based producer serves up three more slices of uncompromising warehouse techno. lead track <the escape< has all the sp-x hallmarks - rock hard beats, thundering claps and a swinging groove that underpins eerie riffs and clanking metallic drums >stalker< reveals a more musical slant to sp-xs sound. it starts off with unsettling riffs, but soon the rolling drum-led arrangement changes tact and provides the backdrop for a growling chord climax. there is a similar concession on >attack pattern< bruising doubled-up drums and that unmistakably snappy sp-x percussion combine with subtle snare rolls to create a peak time arrangement. but once again an insistent chord sequence gives it the edge over functional techno. make sure to hunt this killer release down
