the first release for silent season and edoardo zerbinati, aka edanticonf, for 2014 is the boundary of nowhere land ep, a four-track excursion through naturalistic ambience mixed with synthy, trance-like textures and a layering of dub techno. it is zerbinatis third release for the british columbian label following his planet ep and forest echo album of 2012 that featured title track edits from adbullah rashim and iori.
the californian has a cccp and a couple of the very best lies, but this stomping, grisly, suspenseful, four-track assassinator tops the lot. you get plenty more prep and purpose, and a load more killing.
gtcm016 introduces d.k., a new artist to emerge from paris electronic underground. with an impressively accomplished sound for a debut release, this ep contains four original tracks and its all killer, no filler house in the vein of ron trent, moon b, ppu and future times
kid sublime s protégé j.a.n. drops his brand new debut 12 .amsterdam based j.a.n. got inspired by local dj’s in the amsterdam nightlife scene at early age. soon he started djing, and hooked up with fellow amsterdammer and dj/producer kid sublime, who showed him the ropes of rocking a sampler. j.a.n. quickly caught the virus and invested in his own digital equipment, started digging for samples, and thereby widening his musical spectrum.
label-head anthony parasole and analogue warlord phil moffa are back to the corner! both have beaten a rugged path since dropping their first collab, with parasole dropping a quickstrike one-sided corner cut amongst others, and moffa going on to work with dj spider for a killer 12inch.this new ep represents their best work to date.
alans new single on drumcode demonstrates exactly why alan fitzpatrick is a powerhouse within the techno scene. the tetra will enrapture the dance floor from the off with its brooding nature and syncopated claps. it pushes forwards with glistening highs before more melodic stabs join the equation and slowly the beautiful melodic phrase partakes in this outstanding piece of work. on the flip we are forever young finishes off the single with a slow burning after hours vibe that will keep the clubbers nodding.
minilogue are known for their bigger than life electronic music adventures! a fact that makes their announcement to-have-a-break even more painful for us and many of their fans! markus henriksson and sebastian mullaert decided to put their collaboration aside for an undefined period and focus more on their solo careers from now on. however they are not waving good bye without a last mega-sign of their former existence and we are proud and happy to be the label of choice to present this ep
only few copies! amazing piece of house!! future in sound presents its new face late in 2013, with its first release of the year. reaching its 10th edition in december 2012, the new year started with fis preparing for big things! future in sound kicked off its own network >listen & discover< bringing music from only underground/upcoming artists and labels from all around the place.in addition to that, fisr will be on vinyl! fisr011 is one hell of a package. following some detroit, electronica, tech, more electronica and some minimal techno (hailing from germany of course), we land right back into the house of house, with some french summer loving vibes by the talented florian muller project.
THE ROOTS OF HIP HOP - FROM CHURCH TO GANGSTA (2X12 LP)
2x12 Inch LP 10.01.14
hip hop did not develop in a vacuum - its roots can be traced back to the earliest afro-american music, and the folks who were influenced by these sounds along the way. this lp compiles some of the great recordings that showcase the spoken word and street culture put forth from the 1920s through the 1960s that would go on to influence the entire rap music genre. the themes will be familiar - religion, politics, black experience, badass gangsta rap, speed, sex, drugs and rock n roll. lets listen to the lessons that the hipsters of the past taught the rappers of today.
dave dubbz from basel in switzerland re-joins the robsoul camp, following two volumes of ghetto funk tales released for phil weeks imprint. his music can also be found on legendary west coast label tango recordings. the four tracks on *lost in the past ep* do exactly what it says on the tin, with classic funk, jazz and disco samples expertly wrapped and filtered around punching 4/4 house beats.
dadame aka dario damerini arrives in an unique state of maturity behind the decks, he is able to express it from the studio on this ep. it is no secret that dario is the ambassador of the grooviest old school house sound in barcelona, his work reveals the way he is and his own experience with the machines. after releasing some dope tracks on other labels, this is his first vinyl in solo.

serious basement bidness to close out the year for sound signature. the specter of christmas now returns with a coal bag of dirty acid jams and warped rhythms. thats exactly what we asked santa for anyway.
we are extremely excited to have the talent that is chocky featuring on our next release. since he burst on to the scene, we have been following this artist. his music captures emotion & combines breaks, house and electronic experimentation.
during off map excursions seahawks encounter the woo tribe, legendary creators of celestial tones. via mind-meld the two groups merge and blur to create two eleven minute plus journeys that explore the outer reaches of mystic disco, warped house and psychoactive boogie. drenched in delay and smeared with hazed reflections of a thousand birds lost in a tropical jungle mist, the results leave you fazed, stunned and overflowing with euphoric intent. designed with the most creative dance floors in mind, both journeys are deep, disorientating and empowering. this release is in league with the wonderful emotional rescue label whose recent re-release of woos *whichever way you are going, you are going wrong* album has brought so much joy to the world. swim on forever.
the great long lost album from this 60s us band, re-issued on 180 gram vinyl. musically in the style of iron butterfly or banchee, with great fuzzed-out guitars, booming bass and screaming vocals, including the 14 minutes long spaced-out track *my main woman*.
the balls are rolling, the caller has been summoned… eyes down ladies and gentleman for the marx trukker. a for you b for me goes flat out from the get go, trukker bringing forth dub, attenuating heavily bound techno under the sherman filter plough - sleek yet lo-fi sound design, infectious electronic folkart.

the late 2010 album soulbooster from command strange is now split in two parts for the collectors. plate 2 contains you cant touch this.. command strange takes the vibe down a bit for a vibing deep roller for those special moments.. if r&b could be d&b then this would be its slow jam..for the last side we turn to want you back.. one last time we crank it up a notch with some good ol rolling breakbeats and smooth piano touches.. a brilliant jazzy roller with a vibe like no other
london-based producer, sam russo, drops the wanderer ep via the air london imprint this october, backed with a remix from the ever on-point, john tejada

almost two years after their austrian amadeus award nominated debut album *different believers*, allen alexis present their second lp *the other side* at the end of october, releasing it only on vinyl at first. the first extracted single *over the sea* is already in heavy rotation on the radio.
the name is the game, since this time a more different, club-oriented side of allen alexis was increasingly brought to the fore. musically, the album does not only live up to the musicians various orientations, but also to the multiple personality of the artistic character allen alexis, in which the de- and reconstruction of their tracks are being reflected.
presssing on heavyweight 180 gram vinyl, download code included.
first ep and vinyl release from this surprising detroit secret! we dont know who or what, so we will let the music speak for itself. for those in search of something new, buy this record
i will never forget the many dancefloor dates my friends and i had with harry romero back in the late 90s and early naughties. nobody turned out beats like *choo choo*. cro-magnon, erectus, tania, night at the black, suck my clock, beats vol. 1 & 2, mas pito (as mongobonix), the list goes on and on… each and every one a seminal house smash, played by all and still sounding as fresh today as they did on their first spin. 2013 is the beginning of a new chapter for harry, parting ways with his long time label group subliminal, after completing a ten year deal, he is now free to release with other labels, and importantly, return directly to the beats. already forging ahead with new releases on ovum (under his vaggio alias) and sneaks i m a house gangster among others, here he makes his debut on circus recordings.
final part in the charles cohen trilogy on morphine records. featuring various works made for dance & theatre productions between 1976 & 1988. eleven tracks in total - lovingly spread over double lp and featuring some of the most beautiful material of the series. another essential purchase. tip!
we learned to know jacy as one of the artists behind the v.a. called house of 12 vol.2, released on 12records during this year, with the old school atmospheres track touch me. now he reproposes himself under a new pseudonym, the old writer, with three unpublished tracks on his brand new imprint named home of house records. eventually this recalls the same old school memories of his previous works to bring you back another time, with devotion, to the real sound of early 90s without any stylistic compromise. all tracks are written, arranged & mixed, by himsel
the journey continues. clone records continue with the re-issue series of the early catalogue of one of the most groundbreaking and influential techno acts ever. raw, uncompromising music made with soul and creativity that has always been the trademark of drexciya. this is the 4th release in the series and contains arguably some of their rarest and most astonishing tracks such as black sea, mantaray, hydro cubes and depressurization.
razor-sharp techno mutations fresh from the mind of tom diciccio. the corner reminding you once again that techno is still a relevant and boundary-pushing art-form. peep big mike on the artwork too! take yer ringside seats for and audial pounding. strength is always the last thing to go.
if you thought in past times…what does…pastamusik – well then, here’s a short update. we had to take a creative time-out, enjoy the summer and besides of that play numerous raves and club nights. label manager was still very active during that period. between playing gigs in barcelona, istanbul, london, berlin and brandenburg, she prepared the next ten pastamusik records (or files) which will be released during the next couple of months. here we go, winters here and it’s time again for some hot music.
>for those< is a new vinyl only label from barcelona. recorded on reel to reel tapes and all about warm & raw analog sounding music. limited copies. dont miss out!
