summers sons are turt (rap) & slim (beats) who are actually brothers. they are longtime friends with vocalist and pianist c.tappin. their music can be described as rap with a lot of jazz. we like to call it cool bap.

das label acid jazz leitet eine neue Ära ein. es wird nicht nur ein großer teil des back catalogues wiederveröffentlicht, sondern auch zeitgenössische bands veröffentlichen brandneue alben. zu diesen gehören new street adventure. sänger und gitarrist nick corbin gründete die band 2007 mit dem anspruch pop und moderne soul-einflüsse elegant zu verbinden. nach dem album -no hard feelings- ist dies der zweite streich unter der flagge von acid jazz. mit -stubborn sons- sieht sich die band in der tradition von curtis mayfield oder the jam, beides acts die das politisch unruhige klima ihrer jeweiligen dekaden - die 70er und 80er jahre - in ihrer musik verarbeiteten und kritisierten. so sind die texte kritisch, die musik hingegen erstaunlich groovy.
