a stalwart of the uk underground & dance music scene, simbad’s music and dj skills have brought him to perform and record on all of the continents over the last decade. as a very sought after producer that still collaborates with the likes of fred p, deetron, roots manuva, lulu james, dayme arocena, mala (dmz), gilles peterson (six albums produced for gilles legendary brownswood label) to name a few, he’s been also remixing for countless other artists worldwide and has a vast array of releases on various imprints like apron, hyperdub, sofrito, bbe etc. “reconnect” remained a dubplate amongst a handful broken beat dj’s for years until simbad decided to release it on swedish brandy productions, a label that has been fairly constant in putting out timeless underground dance music since nearly two decades. remixes by the mighty boddhi sattva and concept e25 included.

brassfoot makes his dba debut following a number of appearances at the dba presents parties. since breaking through with his apron ep on funkinevens world-leading label in 2015, brassfoot has turned heads with releases on uttu, paul du lac s bio rhythm, and his own seminal nca recordings. on the indentured servitude ep brassfoot showcases his own unique stepping house and techno flavour across six tracks, with time to meditate and reflect between the party-starting peak timers also included. blinds down, crouched over my desk, i switch on my machines. whatever the final result is, i wouldn t even bother unless i was having fun first. sometimes theres just one tiny portion of magic after a long recording session, but its always about the enjoyment first. its dark inside and it influences the mood of the music. it s also dark outside and it s obvious where that leaves its mark. the 2nd release on youth comes from london artist shamos. with lyster having met shamos through nts it wasn t long before they were dj ing together around parties in london and shamos began sharing music with him. shamos, who last released on funkinevens apron label, comes with a heavy 4 tracker bringing the punkier dregs of new wave, dreamy abstract house and tripped out hardware jams, on limited red vinyl.

laate returns with the mysterious jack keo! our man was born and raised in the southwest of england, he got his first pair of decks at 9 years old and started producing at 19. for this fourth release, jack keo delivers 3 originals tracks. on a side, -module-e1 - is a heavy house tool with a groovy bassline and its organics sounds, catchy!!! on b1, jack show his deep face with -fondue-, he make us travel a little bit more by using space synth, cosmic sound and voices cut. to finish - apron - is a pure minimal track, strong bassline and female vocal increase the freaky atmosphere!
