i am very happy and excited to present the new ep by claudia anderson on singular rec., its her second release on the label and its a real pleasure. she cooked a really varied record once again, liquid forms takes place on a1 and its real voodoo here, the effect of this track is very unique, it’s space and deep, surrounded by many little effects that give such a special result, then comes neutral state, a timeless dub & house feeling, very loopy, that reminded me some stl cuts. be one opens the b… i ve been really sensible to its very sexy percussions play and delayed lead, it transports literally during all the length, its very high quality. to end properly this ep, claudia did a superb ambient cut, everybody knows i love ambient and so here i ve been charmed… its a deep, noisy atmospheric track that close the all perfectly, with simple little percussions that come and go, just what it takes… its a confirmation of all the good i thought about claudias talent, a very subtle, deep and charming record, and i hope you will like it as much as i do! marcelus.

after a very techno first release, unanim returns with another approach of the genre. it is herodot who delivers two very different tracks for his duo ep.
silent record rules the first side of this vinyl and its a monster. the rolling bassline and the powerful percussion are backed by tripping background noises. you cand also hear french experimentalist duo radiomentalle and david toops distorted voice. this one is definitely not silent and 100% destined for the dancefloor.
on a more subtle note side b features tul which is not as * loud* and a bit tool-ish. lurking sounds populate the background and the shakers provide a percussive feeling throughout the track. techno hasnt left the building !

out of sight , the title track, is an elegant house exercise that takes you back to san francisco. recall is a brain bomb, hypnotic and psychedelic but with lots of energy, and has already been supported by the likes of raresh, rhadoo, djebali and apollonia, and is definately the cut to go in this record. to finish things off, romania s rising star mp, known for his works on soulsity and meterze, shows us his own view on out of sight , based on dynamic drums and a with an amazing bass leading the whole thing.

hannu ikola is a finnish artist and owner of the etherwerks label, releasing his third record on the imprint. *chrysalis* is a four track opus of raw and swarthy techno. in the tracks ikolas musical inspiration from experimental and ambient music can be heard.

after over six years in the dutch techno scene kevin arnemann is beginning a new chapter in his career. the time has arrived for arnemann to give back to the scene through the launch of his own record label, taped artifact

the caky music sounds like lusty melodic elements on a suspenseful beaty framework, or how they call it: like lechery . side b is literally packed with miro pajic! the remix from the berlin-based lazerslut, who also releases on magda s items & things, uses almost full capacity of the vinyl record length and strikes with a 12-minutes journey of dirty grooves. on a percussive pajic-like setting, he finds his unique way of lechery with an apparently neverending buildup which turns into some epic moments.

in 1996 paul birken released the classic and now rare as hens teeth surfin superior double 12inch on woody mcbrides communique label. this was to be a revered and respected record that influenced many and is still talked about and played today. now, some 19 years later he follows it up with part 2. nobody works as hard at getting human sounding chattering from their machines as birken and here he treats us to 8 massive cuts of grinding techno that are as humorous as they are danceable.

johanna knutsson and hans berg s second output from their ufo station recordings is a piece of inspiriting space techno. music that reduces the force of gravity and makes your feet feel light and springy. music that makes you lift your head and gaze dreamily out the panorama windows as glittering melodies trickle down your spine, making you shudder with pleasure. a record overflowing with profound yet tender caresses of sound from the alien duo that will light up dance floors all across the galaxy.

boola is no stranger at all to the vinyl club team. he was amongst the very first customers of the former ibiza record shop that gave birth to vinyl club, and even if this is his first release on the imprint he contributed from the beginning to inspire the crew with his early productions that enlightened the golden days of dc10, some of them being released on the then new born arpiar label a bit less than a decade ago. joining the vinyl club agency in 2013, he is since then sharing the dj booth too with the team for endless sessions at cdv / berlin.

since the last record, the band have embraced creative opportunities, dave (drummer and producer) travelled to mali with damon albarns africa express, and dave and tommy (synthesizer operator) worked on the score for the royal shakespeare companys production of john websters bloodthirsty jacobean tragedy the white devil. dave established his own label, kick and clap, named after the club night he launched when he first moved to dalston and vinnie (singer and guitarist) and jim (bassist) collaborated with award-winning artist haroon mirza at stromboli arts festival last summer, at the foot of the islands volcano.

still/current was composed for choreographer russell maliphants duet of the same name by long-time collaborator mukul, and commissioned by sadlers wells, london. the idea of a physical, published record was born during rehearsals of the duet, for which rysunku founder jan urbanowski had designed video projections. it is the second release on the label after jan s own ep under the alias yahshu. rysunku releases innovative sound work in very limited numbered vinyl editions. initial releases are designed by renowned art collective tomato

another recent masterpiece from the rising barcelona label “modern obscure music”. this time the label is introducing a 12’’ with two long lasting analogue jams made from synthesizers like moog voyager and the mythical juno 80 on abstract rhythms created with a powerful roland 909. this is an essential record for collectors of relics focused on the club. to the mysterious, exotic and even tribal vibe, the record label adds a remix by daniel martin-mccormick, best known as ital, who has recently published his 3rd album with mike paradinas (planet mu) apart from also presenting some pieces from his own record company lover’s rock or in the prestigious workshop house. remixes by jmii and pettre, aster’s ex-band components, are also added in the digital version of it.

after three years, ascion and d.carbone return with *substructures*, their most experimental release to date on their label 3th. the a-side of this record holds two droney offbeat tracks, *ram expedients* and *lo-fi fields*, combining a rare/abstract and genuine mix of middle-eastern electronics, cyberpunk and uk warehouse techno. the b-side contains the tracks that are responsible for the nomenclature of this release: *substructures one/two*. being more oriented to genres such as idm and rave techno, they are characterized by powerful beats and cutting edge ambients and vocals. both tracks have been recorded during one of their live performances in london 2013.
