after recording various psych soul and funk tracks on the whiz record label the real thing carried on after leaving the label to record more studio cuts with musician and producer stu gardner. here they let it rip with an incredible fast version of james browns *give it up, turnit loose* ... and they left in that all important secret ingredient of a lovely long drum break. stu gardner himself took to the microphone on this track, with various background vocals and screams, and did the vocals for the amazing b-side *it s a family thang*!

we dig deep into trax s vaults to unearth some unreleased super rare versions of some trax classics. vol. 1 contains two ron hardy reel to reel edit s of jamie principle & frankie knuckles classics -bad boy- and -baby wants to ride-. very different to the final released versions these are personal edits ron made to play at the music box, chicago in the mid-late 80 s. released in conjunction with trax 2015.

reissue of elias rahbani & his orchestras super rare arabic disco holy grail *liza liza* on the original lebanese voix de l orient label. recorded pre-civil war at a time when beirut was known as the paris of the middle east, a luxurious holiday destination and flourishing trade centre. the title track is totally out of this world, perfectly blending eastern & western vocals, instruments and musical influences with a driving disco bassline to create an irresistible floor filling cosmic odyssey. the flipside features the even more out-there *from the moon* a fantastic tripped out psychedelic disco funk monster, followed by the dreamy accordion-led *summer love*. also boasting one of the sexiest covers in disco history further illustrating the liberal thinking and western influence in lebanon at the time. highly recommended!

taking a few steps off it’s usual housy path, metereze presents a fresh new face and a more techno approach to dance music. it is melodie that signs the 4th installment and he is taking it deep into the realms of acid with 3 tracks that not only go well together but they are all meant to make you move in a big way.
acid sunday is as acidic as the name suggests it but in the end it’s the most poetic of the 3. the subtle pads are kinda dreamy but the 303 sounds make it super driving. on the same side we have rhythmico which is dark, percussive and powerful. subtle background bleeps complete the wandering synth that comes and goes but never really seems to go away.
housed on side b justa is a techno monster in its own right. sonically very close to the other two, this is by far the darkest track on this ep. and probably the strongest. techno infused house you may call it or whatever, this is the kind of track that puts you on a serious move whenever, wherever.

recorded from rudys homemade studio in hampton virginia before he cut *searching for love* on harvest records around 1983, he did this wonderful modern synth winner. with rudy just having one pass on a reel of this song, we remastered it a little at the super disco hq to give it a brighter feel. sure its pretty lo-fi but the quality of the song writing playing and melodies are more than enough to let is see the joys of a turntable. this is once again a limited press.

after their featuring on kyle halls boat party ep, the bologna based duo nas1 join the bosconi family with a lush six tracks vinyl strongly influenced by contemporary detroit house. a side starts with the chuggin and moody beat of -black coffee-, then continues with the stomping and sexy midtempo of -i don t mind- and ends with the more mysterious, electro boogie raw jam of -dallas vertical roll-. on the flip we find the slapped roadhouse blues of madturkey followed by the twisted gifted & blesseds re-interpretation of -i don t mind-. the ep ends with the melancholic and soulful textures of the shuffle groover -hoarse presence-. tasty!
