nice price deal !!! it s been a big shock for all of us to hear the sad news that our good friend andreas gehm passed away this year. his last big project is the -worldwide electronics- - series on his own label -cologne underground- which brings his friends from all over the world together. the idea of „worldwide electronics“ is to combine music from all over the world on one album (in fact, there will be a vol.2 too). the second idea was to combine well known artist with newcomer. when gehm, who runs cologne underground together with dbh distribution, ask the artist for tracks, he don’t ask for any specific style. the artist were free to deliver whatever they want. so at the end it ended up from deep house (oldschool definition, not edm definition) to acid. „worldwide electronics vol.1“ contains one track from greece (dimdj), germany (hardfloor), netherlands (baz reznik), england (perseus traxx), columbia(s.valencia) 2 tracks from japan (takeshi kouzuki and jin-cromanyon) and the first of hopefully a row of collaboration tracks from legowelt (netherlands) and elec pt.1 (germany) as „gehm & wolfers).

after mike gervais’ strident work on sym017, ben sims’ symbolism imprint returns with spanish newcomer jlg’s four track ‘convolution’ ep. originally coming to sims’ attention via the demo section of his ‘run it red’ radio show/podcast, javier lg has previously released for dynamic reflection and substance but it’s the quality of his unreleased material that secured his place on symbolism. characterised by intricate and interwoven melodic rhythms, some at the forefront and some almost there, jlg’s debut for the label is an infectious and consummate affair.
