in 1984, steve perry recorded his debut solo album street talk while his band journey was on a break. a tribute to his former band alien project, the album brought forth the hits >oh sherrie< and >foolish heart< and would eventually receive a double platinum status.

limited edition single sided white label. claude vonstroke teams up with jaw, lead singer of the notorious dop crew for a trippy slab of modern funk. this marks the very first time vonstroke has worked with a singer and we think the results are great. jaws smooth falsetto harks back to singers like curtis mayfield and the backing track is filled with trademark dirtybird flavor. the record is a slow building jam that builds into an almost church-like resolution filled with spiraling space echoes and organs that is sure to set off all the right rooms.

a made up sound aka 2562 and dexter deliver two remixes for arttu featuring jerry the cat. nuclear funk and get up off it get transformed from raw chicago influenced cuts into darker electro/techno hybrids by these two dutch techno wizzards. both known for their sharp productions that cross over between techno, electro and bass music they have a fresh take on the original versions. by the choice of remixers we didnt expect the standard house remixes, something more challenging would fit the spirit of the originals. this remix 12 inch might be is somewhat of a dark horse in the house orientated clone royal oak catalogue, but expectations are to there be messed up.

february sure isnt the month to laze around when the new rennbahn baby is chasing for your dance. the crotalus ep starts as if there was a crotalus right behind you! the original mix delivers a powerful basedrum and deep synths. the snake sounds, vocal snippets and the use of reverb and delay build a wide and huge atmosphere which leads us directly out of the reality into the heart of the jungle where youd love nothing better than to stay forever. watch out - you shouldnt stop dancing unless you want to get bitten by a snake! the marco fender remix on the flip side takes us out of the jungle into the club. an impulsive beat highlighted by a sub baseline comes to a nice replaying synth melody. here the vocal snippets are not applied to fulfill the song with a deep atmosphere but to complete the hypnotic rhythm of it. watch out - the snake still follows you at every turn! finally miyagis remix comforts us with safety - marching towards the end, it seems like we got rid of the snake. now we can wholeheartedly lose ourselves in very deep synths, floating hi-hats and a mystical and tempting melody. as if this wasnt enough the outstanding beat wont let you take a break and forces you to keep on dancing
