april showers bring may flowers, but this april claude vonstroke brings you the rain break. inspired by two different songs from the 80s - (razes classic break for love and oran juice jones the rain), claude has replayed and re-sung all the music from scratch to make a special cover tune of both tracks changed and combined into a surefire dirtybird classic. to quote vonstroke, i kept singing the break for love bassline over and over again in my head but the vocal that always popped in over the top was from the oran juice jones. i cant explain why that happened but i just thought they went together so well that i ran with it.here comes the b is a much weirder affair. built with massive psychedelic effects, a huge kick and almost no hi-hat pattern, this is late night cavemen music at its best. this big release from cvs will have you wishing for a downpour so you can go walking in the rain.

this soundtrack remains so powerful and evocative it could almost stand alone from the classic western it accompanied. just close your eyes and it won’t take long for you to start conjuring up images of grizzled mountain men, intrepid wayfarers, murderous outlaws, boom-town mining camps, lines of covered wagons across the skyline and the great american outdoors that just seems to go on forever.
