time to welcome ben sun to d.o.g with his incredible love momentum ep containing three tracks of the raw stuff to groove to. some may know ben sun from his previous releases on the brilliant voyeurhythm label, his own vinyl-only imprint distributed by clone which was established in 2009. others might have his remixes of reggie dokes on royal oak or deep space orchestra on boogie originals. whatever, this man is making serious waves right now and adds yet another feather in the collective cap of young antipodean producers making underground house music with their own unique and authentic approach.
g. love & special sauces self-titled album is their debut and has reached gold status. on this record you can find their signatures tune >cold beverage<, featuring lighthearted jive lyrics and funky musical accompaniment, the video to this song got heavy rotation on mtv and it put them on the map. >this aint living< is a precursor to the comforting philly soul style that would be explored more thoroughly on their next album. >town to town< adds variety to the album with its slow-as-molasses blues style. g. love & special sauces debut serves as the musical foundation on which the group would build its future sound.
180 grams audiophile vinyl pressing.
with a shuffle, a wink and a swing of the hips, original cuts returns to wax with a quartet of tried-and-tested dancefloor bumpers from label head honcho deadly sins.
as usual, deadly sins has provided us with a four-pack of hypnotic, filter-heavy disco cuts that slither their way across the dancefloor with all the sinewy charm of an eager python on heat. taken inspiration from forgotten disco gems and simmering secret soul jams, original cuts 03 bumps, grinds, struts and jigs from start to finish.
thats some serious shit ! is a new record label dedicated to old house music and to dancers. following the steps of kerry chandler, mr. fingers, ron trent, masters at work and so on... away from the hype, we want to bring back the spirit of the early 90s when house music was not only music, but a communion of body, soul, freedom and love. we hope to get you with us... in the dance, in the club. now ride on the sound
the title track has kenny larkin vibes, with the max d style cosmic twists we love down here. slick is sick too! features a remix from another certified hemp eater, terekke, who amazed us with awesome white label on l.i.e.s. last year ... killer package on this excellent label.
first on only via decks.de
it is with great pleasure that we announce our fifth release by santi, the excellent 12 inch is a combination of melodic synth patterns and nice piano chords with an intoxicating voice on a silky melody which makes this release perfect for the summer 2012!

yotam has brought us another massive vocal project featuring the powerful vocals from chris dockins that has timeless stamped all over them ... we have called on terrence parker and matthew bandy for the remix duties for this one, both mixes have a place to make this world a better place.
enjoy the music and remember to play this record loud!

LOVE OF MINE (BRASSICA, HYBOID REMIXES) (2X10 INCH)
2x10 Inch 06.06.12
double ten inch pack edition of the debut release from love interest, a newly minted label from the juno records enclave. minneapolis based electroboogie crooner nyteowl has been handed the honour of the debut release with the prince-leaning >love of mine<, and this edition features remixes from both brassica and astro chicken founder hyboid. given the nature of their output, both are perfectly placed to tease out the nuances of a 80s referencing electronic soul track and brassica in particular excels, extracting gleeful new levels of texture out of the synth sounds with a truly twisted remix. hyboid adopts an outer galactic electro poise reminiscent of his finest output on astro chicken, and if vocals arent your thing, check the b-side of each ten inch slab for instrumental mixes.
LOVE OF MINE (BOY 8 BIT, MIGHTY MOUSE RMXS) (CLEAR VINYL)
Coloured 12 Inch 06.06.12
a new label from some of the decision makers at juno arrives in the shape of love interest, promising a release schedule that eschews genres in favour of seeking out international talent that piques their fancy. minneapolis-based nyteowl is at the helm for the first release with >love of mine<. this clear vinyl twelve inch edition sports two fine remixes from boy 8 bit and mighty mouse, which naturally take the 80s swagger of the original in differing directions. boy 8 bit calls on all his studio trickery with a remix that constantly shifts sonically before dropping into an excellent final detuned synth passage, whilst nu-disco troupe mighty mouse are on soaring form, adding some meat to that beat, whilst nyteowls vocal hitches a ride on an upwards arpeggio.
fiakun comes back again, after having released el_txef_as debut album and having received good vibes, this time to present from the deepest of the basque country, the oren bi guys. they have signed this fiakun 006 which is received with much love. the pair of musicians and in turn we could say that music lovers, focused the ep on the hottest house with some r&b leanings. besides, they are making use of synthesizers like the most exclusive moog to delight us with some arpeggios that evoke a purer era. these two hits are accompanied with a remix by sergio santos.
last time out, much love impressed djs and record buyers the world over with a sought-after 12 inch featuring tracks from james johnston, bartellow, roman rauch and label owners alkalino & alphabet city.
for the label s third release, much loves bossmen take a backseat and hand the reigns over to a quartet of emerging and up-and-coming production talents. the results are, thankfully, every bit as intoxicating as previous releases.
four tracks, four hot talents, four killers. much love all round.
jay west from argentina has been releasing quality deep house (the real sort that is) for the past decade, last years smile ep on bebr got some serious playlist and chart action from everybody who knows their shit, and were please to welcome him to the moodmusic family. the ep starts with blame the music, the sort of feel-good house music we used to get loads of in the early to mid 90s from the big apple. swinging beats, almost disco bass and a sunshine filled vocal are the ingredients for a tune, and jay has delivered one. this will probably not be belted by the kids house community, but real heads knows what to do with this weapon. down continues the journey with victor simonelli style keys and a bouncy bassline, making place for the low-slung in & out tune which have some serious west coast mushroom influences. we love it! to end the ep the catchy little mean machine finally brings the smile to your face.
bob dylans >love & theft< was a true return to form, his 30th studio album, with the unfortunate release date of september 11, 2001.
his voice is shot, but he sounds warmer, more relaxed, and old mr. grumpy is as good humoured as on >the basement tapes< (movlp 429). bob is in a wistful, elegiac, playful mood. he has recovered the humanity he lost on >time out of mind<, and is looking on life with loving eyes. he has thrown off the weight of life and is remembering a better self. and that makes this one of his more accessible albums, despite a lack of high-flying hit songs.
with beautiful printed inner sleeves and 180 grams audiophile vinyl, this is the first vinyl re-issue since 2001!
nastic aka marco nastic has been around the scene for over a decade and for this soweso release this internationally acclaimed dj teams up with dutch underground newcomer rik woldring. on the a side they bring you our love, a driving melodic techhouse track with a warm, sexy and dreamy vibe to it. a2, just us takes it a little deeper. this detroit influenced track is a perfect track for late in the morning. flowy, deep, but with a solid low end are the key words to describe this gem. on the flipside this package also features two remixes by mike shannon and upcoming dutch artist prunk. hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
a concept taken from an old book of charles darwin,
,where he theorized the existence of a brain in plant roots, in order to feature a stylistic evolution from ambient to techno. a free way of thinking without schemes, as we move into territory that we love, in the boundless fields of electronic music. vinyls are limited and numbered with stencil artwork printed on the cover made to create a unique piece of each copy.
next frequenza limited vinyl release comes from the collaboration of 2 of our favorite italian house producers, alex gori and simone burrini!2 tracks for each artist per side,a couple of sweet and deep groovers from gori and one deep melodic tune plus a disco inspired bomb from burrini.support from:maceo plex, slam, luciano, oliver moldan, tonio, eric tarlouf, matt handy, andi durrant.
this release represent in a sense the spirit of what we are. we started to think about it around 3 years ago, and is good to say that everything is gone positive. all the artists involved are connect from the same empathy and love, and things happened in the most natural way. collecting all the infos about mrs. endresen and mr. wesseltoft and looking at ninca and bruno biography, and of course with andrea and hubble always is our minds, we can affirm one more time the power of this intense feeling that keep us close to each other.
newcomer italian label traxx underground calls on the service of kool vibe, a veteran record collector & clubber from paris who, after a well-received debut release on my love is underground, is back to offer four tracks produced with the steady hand of someone who knows his way around a house tune. as announced in the title of this ep record, mr. vibe continues to spread the vibe, this 90s house vibe made of tough drums, bumpin basslines, warm chords and chopped vocals. kool vibe has clearly been nurtured by all that was good about deep and garage house coming from new york and new jersey back in the 90s and he proves it again with this second release
big with maya jane coles, round table knights, homework, claude von stroke, robert owens, wildkats, nhan solo, shir khan,.. berlin-based robosonic welcome the springtime with their first off ep. >worst love< uses an anthemic sample to create a groovy dancefloor burner with tight groove. doctor dru delivers a contemporary underground pop remix. fritz zander from the suol collective made a > panorama bar 9 am<-styled remix for the real house-heads. and with >thankful<, robosonic give us a 2nd original track, slightly more toolish than worst love
faze action have never been comfortable with the nu disco tag, and in an age where its dominated by digitally designed and somewhat pedestrian in its tempo the lee brothers return with a dynamic live sound that sets them apart. freak for your love is the lead track from their forthcoming album information overload and straddles a sick dubbed out punk funk groove that brings to mind the sort of incessantly sweat inducing music dfa was releasing in the labels first few years. a pleasant new direction for faze action is explored further on the accompanying new wave disco dub mix that delves further into the realm of echo and delay over that strident groove. the mysterious st holds court on the flip with two rerubs that switch the emphasis up towards a throwback bumping 90s house flex without loosing the originals charm
played by kid circus, sleazy mcqueen, yam who?, cloned in vatican!, elitechnique, juno recommends disco, deadly sins, i love disco!, amplified orchestra, jkriv (deep&disco), drop out orchestra, 78 edits, electric boogie (ism), the legendary 1979 orchestra, ajello, the unity agency
a - side: i love my lady (the black bahia version) ashley reworks an unreleased collaboration between chic and lounge legend johnny mathis. what ?!!!! this has summer anthem written all over it. beedle waves his magic wand over this future classic beach groove to create a joyful sing-a-long. b - side: addis ababa (afrikanz on marz kosmik rework ) ashley and his musical partner darren morris add their trippy aom vibes to this rare studio one classic to create an afro/reggae/drone/psychedelic monster. it pulls you in and does not let you out. this is an essential rework for all the true heads out there.
PHILADELPHIA INTERNATIONAL CLASSICS: THE TOM MOULTON REMIXES PART 1 (2X12)
2x12 Inch 02.05.12
following on from the massively popular philadelphia international: the re-edits package, here is the 2nd release in our special philly 40 campaign which is celebrating the 40th anniversary of philadelphia international records. welcome to the hugely anticipated philadelphia international classics: the tom moulton remixes. tom moultons involvement with philadelphia international spans the entire 40 years of their existence with many of his early mixes unaccredited in the era before the 12 inch disco disc. in 1977 pir released the ground-breaking historic original double lp philadelphia classics which featured 8 oftom moultons greatest pir mixes. the album has subsequently been reissued several times and is rightly hailed as a must have classic for any serious music lovers collection
the citizens bands second instalment for ramonas favourite label hollows their long lasting love affair. christian beisswengers (cb funk, one half of arto mwambe) is nothing less than dealing with the demise of an empire. >broken rome< is a codeine trip through early nu groove rave tracks as well as an ode to junior vasquez at the helm of the sound factory seen and heard through frosted glass. >densed< on the other hand tips its toes into the current deep house stream with an arto-mwambe-like hook and a thumping bass line. the spaces in-between those rudiments are taken up by the idm finger exercise and jewel that is >into<: ottoman dancing!
