beatside v.a. unrilis009. rino cerrones unrilis imprint presents a rare 12 inch featuring the beatside compilation 7 tracks of typically rolling fare from joseph capriati, gaetano parisio, sasha carrassi and rino himself. unrilis has a reputation for no-nonsense dancefloor output and beatside represents the naples-based imprints modus operandi perfectly. each of the artists involved in beatside are part of the tight knit artist roster of unrilis or its extended family in the fertile techno landscape that is naples.

for its tenth release, sharivari presents nakama ep, another special project with 4 tracks from the land of the rising sun. ufos acid jazz classic somewhere gets re-edited by the serbian duo j-house, aka jan nemecek and danilo tomic, while sapporo based musician kuniyuki takahashi brings his usual deep and percussive vision of house music. on the flip, rush hour artist haruki matsuo and japanese techno legend ken ishii deliver 2 straight but warm & deep techno cuts. 300 copies pressed on marbled vinyl.

the belgian testtoon label rereleases artificial horizon, a track from the early 80s by the obscure english band shoc corridor. glacial, driving and surprisingly modern, artificial horizon was one of the six tracks on shoc corridors debut album experiments in incest. remix duties are performed by mordant music, who takes the original into his own universe, delivering a bubbling, industrial and spacious rework. the belgian bepotel takes artificial horizon into nu-house territory and testtoon artist oubys delivers a driving, modern techno remix, heavily based on the original.

this is first single cut from the long awaited japanese deep house maestro kuniyuki takahashi s feather world (mule musiq cd 39, release on 21th jan!). kuniyuki invited many amazing gest musicians from bugge wesseltoft, henrik schwarz,fumio itabashi and name a few. this first single cut is club friendly version of the collaboration track with legendary 80 s poetry singer anne clark . her our darkness are our all time favorite. kuniyuki version is Êhomage to his all time favorite early 90 s house track. our very favorite new artist barnt version is his unique dark kraut rock oriented house.

on a summer weekend in august during the crazy lifetime of the berliner bar 25, pianist laura weider challenged herself to a particular kind of concert in the circus. this 40 hour performance was witnessed as the longest concert of a solo artist and subsequently made it into the guiness book of wold records.

autumn days are coming quite near and with >jahreszwei< – an ambient tape by berlin based artist the marx trukker – we deliver the soundtrack for that more thoughtful time of the year. as the 4-track ep is put together chronological (starting with the track that was produced last), the a-side is more dark and dusty (roughly produced beginning of autumn with an electric bass, an old portastudio and loads of forbidden recording-techniques) while the b-side shines a bit brighter and lighter (produced digital end of summer, concentrating on the dave smith evolver synthesizer only). so take a walk through a forest next to you and enjoy the beautiful autumn-nature while having >jahreszwei< on your ears!
