for the first release, antares label presents: �sunrise under the eyes ep�, produced by dubfound (moldova), known for its subtle and refined productions. with this new album, he offers his best vision from after-club. in side a we start with �sunrise under the eyes�, it carries a very delicate feeling, accompanied by a french voice. regarding side b, we find the remix by dani casarano, which takes you on a galactic journey, with soft sounds and analogical influences. dubfound in turn closes side b with �cruisin�, with an elastic groove, with subtle sounds, perfecting a very elegant and classy set.

east man is a new project from anthoney hart and its material predates his previous work as basic rhythm. his unique take on grime reduces the sound to its steely fundamentals, bringing in influences from dancehall, drum and bass and techno to gird the voices of the mcs he works with. his own name for this hardcore continuum mongrel is hi tek.
anthoney struck a friendship with the academic and theorist paul gilroy, who wrote the album introduction below, after starting personal research on representations of working class and mixed race families. he asked paul for some help after coming across his work via stuart hall, paul�s mentor. their discussions and friendship developed, and it dawned on anthoney that his research and the east man album had some synergy, so he asked paul to write a piece conveying that.

preceding a full length album on 4lux, ka§par showcases his amazing talents on this second ep for 4lux. the portuguese producer comes with some of the most interesting dance music around. got good love is a tough deep house groover that comes as both original and with a nicholas remix. cruising andromeda is a futuristic techno tune for forward thinking deejays. on hyphen kaspar slows down the pace and tosses in some 707 action: a crazy ride with rough synths and spaced out effects. ka§pars releases have become rare and sought after, releasing little more than one 12inch a year in the recent past when one listens to the result, it only proves how great things take their time.

neon dreams is the debut album from london-based producer and night slugs co-founder james connolly, aka l-vis 1990. across 15-tracks and 55-minutes, james distils a lifetimes worth of musical influences and experiences while conveying the story of the last 12 months in his life through vocalists samantha lim and javeon mccarthy. 2010s *forever you* single, which featured mccarthy, was a key jumping off point in establishing the overall vibe of neon dreams. the track features here as a slimmed down, 3.5 minute version. this length represents approximately the average track-duration across the entire lp, and is indicative of james long-held desire to proffer an album in very much the traditional sense of the term. further vocal turns come from co-founder of the sound pellegrino imprint and french hip-hop outfit ttc, teki latex.
