limited 2018 repress ! before producing on roulé, dj falcon worked in a&r department at virgin. in 1999 he released his first ep (on roulé) and produced a remix of cassius’ “la mouche” which is an all-time classic now. one year later, he started working with thomas bangalter on a track called “together”. two years later, the second release “so much love to give” of the duo appeared, which also remained the last release of dj falcon for a very long time. after 10 years of releasing nothing, dj falcon finally made a comeback in 2012 with several remixes such as justice’ “new lands”, alex gopher’s “hello inc.” and alan braxe’s “time machine”. in 2013 he reunited with thomas bangalter to release the track “contact” on the daft punk album “random access memories” together with guy-manuel de homem-christo.

an insanely difficult record to find featuring master plan, with synthesizers by tom o’callaghan and vocals by pepper gomez, “pushin too hard” was born in the early chicago house days and went on to achieve cult status and become part of the history of house forever.
digging 80s pop obscurities has long been part of emotional rescues mission statement and the unearthing of this cover of the talking heads classic by the little known, italian new wave band politrio for a limited 7inch press is a worthy addition.

with brighton being the spiritual birthplace of the london based anti skate label, it only felt right for them to finally have a proper release from a local talent. tech support’s output has seen releases on the likes of homage & astropical tapes, as well as a busy year of djing up and down the country. “excursion” is the dreamy playful opener that everyone needs to be prescribed in the morning, and not surprisingly, jesse bru has done an amazing job at turning it over its head quite intricately with a bit of detroit flavourings to go with it. the b-side is nothing short of special with the exciting piano keys and vocals on “praise” making it a boat party must-have. last but not least, the namesake “friends” is the butterfly-inducing club closer that’s been shown love by the likes of dan shake, lovebirds and laurence guy.
straight from northern spain, must be on wax presents its debut release with four cuts full of housey, raw vibes. mbow mainly wants to bring a release oportunity to upcoming producers, this time by the hands of (ricky razu, collins/casau, vhs & cangas soulmates) in a dreamy 12” va ready for the dance floor.
kalita records are proud and honoured to announce the first ever and official reissue of kallaloo’s sought-after 1982 disco single “star child”, accompanied by interview-based liner notes. originally released on jeffrey turpin’s trinidadian record label ida, “star child” has since become highly sought-after by both djs and collectors alike as an invisible, yet astonishing piece of caribbean disco. unable at the time to gain the traction and success that it deserved, we hope that this re-release provides an opportunity to bring such a great record to a much wider audience.
“mirror test” conjures that rare mood between darkness and elation, contemplation and celebration, and drives it home with an infectious, jacking rhythm section which recalls the late-80s ny club music of boyd jarvis and paul simpson, and labels like easy street and fourth floor, but imbues the sound with a toughness and precision only possible today. analog synth figures, glassy and angular, ricochet around the track, trading jabs with funky snare work and robotic, stabby chord patterns to create a hook-laden machine groove which demands repeated listening.
the record’s b-side feature, “replace yourself,” is the subtler, dreamier, more futuristic of the two. unmistakably urban with its swinging, bottom-heavy groove and strange, architectural chord work, it seduces and transports. “replace yourself” dares you to do exactly that.
alex dorothée was born in guadaloupe, and lived between paris and his hometown. he began his musical career as part of the band: the will boy, vautours and les junior de paris. he has released 8 albums and several singles. harmonie exotic will re-propose you the reissue of the album “au krisma discothèque” released in the mid 80s.
vinyl only.ltd to 300. the inhale exhale posse bringing it back with the 5th strike of the germany based house label. its v/a time again. this six track collage brings you from funky disco edits, over strong baselines and pitched vocals with atmospheric synths to old school jackin house with a bliss of slower deep house in the end. this diversified vinyl keeps the inex style like the guys started. hands down ! this one is a bomb !
