nocturnal e.p. ist eine gemeinschaftsproduktion einiger der besten künstler der toskana: o.m.a.r. j (bereits bei evasione) und alex picciafuochi, ein angesehener produzent, der hinter vielen progressiven platten steht und außerdem als toningenieur für francesco farfas area record tätig ist. als farfa den track 1996 während einer der studio-sessions hörte, beschloss er sofort, einen remix zu machen. wie bei vielen projekten dieser zeit wurden diese tracks nie gepresst oder veröffentlicht und blieben bis heute auf einer dat-kassette gespeichert.

im september 2022 verbrachten munir und boochie zwei tage im house sangkuriang hotel in bandung, um eine reihe von rohen, spontanen aufnahmen zu machen. bewaffnet mit einem roland eg-101 und einem mikrofon, füllten sie verschiedene ecken des hotels mit spontanen jams und indonesischen texten. die sessions waren spielerisch und unvorhersehbar, jede aufnahme fängt die spielerische energie des moments ein. das ergebnis ist ein lebendiges und ungefiltertes musikerlebnis.
