for over five years, all day i dream has been where deep and emotive meet house music. propelled by a community of forward thinking artists drawn around the scion of master curator and sunset/sunrise set specialist, lee burridge. all day i dream formally welcomes lost desert to the label with the release of lingala, a two-track collaborative effort with burridge himself, that also features junior on vocals. lost desert was picked out of obscurity after burridge discovered his music while trekking in a remote area of a long lost land. a fast forged friendship inevitably lead to the studio, and lingala’s the enrapturing sophomore result. the duo’s first project together debuted on lee’s night time imprint, get weird, earlier this year to widespread support. lingala, is a beautifully composed ten-minute sonic journey. built around a mystical lead vocal sung by newcomer junior in his native linagles the raw emotion slowly builds in intensity over propulsive basslines and deep melodic grooves . gorje hewek & izhevski’s interpretation of lingala is a markedly different affair. focussing on musical layers rather than the vocal the duo’s signature spacey atmospheres and minimal rhythmic percussion add extra strings creating uplifting moments that contrast the original’s mood.

the index expands into its fourth chapter with a rich collection of tracks from key label artists marcel fengler, thomas hessler, echoplex and vril. label co-ordinator marcel fengler drops scion on the a1, a non-typical, deeper house-influenced jam with a floating, mind-melting soft-focus. abstract, crafty techno meets classic sunday-afternoon vibes in this unique offering. after his wonderful 4-tracker on imf003 promising talent thomas hessler continues his run with the melodic and stark journey track, the escaper. what is initially shrouded in mystery and melancholy opens up into a funky, us vs. uk-styled workout, snapping snares and reduced percussion driving the meandering synth theme. echoplex, who graced imf002, also returns with a suitably trippy and percussive number, entitled the relapse. building into a bleepy, freaky, acidic killer, complete with some cleverly deployed rave vocal samples, filtering in and out of the fluffy aesthetic, the long-serving polish master is still on top form. going for impact and stand-out sound design, vril offers thronwagen, a mesmerising arrangement of synth layers, classic techno stabs and overlapping themes. already well-known for his powerful drums and bottom end control, this more musical piece goes a long way to showcase some of the german producers many other talents.

some still know very little about t&b artist josefine jinder, so let us introduce her to you. in august 2008 we saw the debut ep of little jinder, >polyhedron<, and soon after in october 08 we gave >polyhedron< the remix treatment with loads of t&b producers. in june 09, after countless gigs and production work, jinder returned to the t&b catalog with >youth blood< on their scion comp. the tune was such a hit t&b had no other choice but to give this epic blood sucker disco house anthem the same remixing treatment as >polyhedron<. as usual, t&b remixes are all over the board from a joker-esque dubstep remix by 12th planet & flinch, a monster mash heavy bass electro remix from sharkslayer to a remix by tomas andersson, who graces this 12 inch with a smooth rolling disco remix straight from the dub factory. this is one of many releases to come from jinder, this is her first single in support of her full length record to come out in 2010. definitely an artist to watch.
