hinter dem projekt xander harris verbirgt sich justin sweatt aus austin, tx. er bezeichnet seine musik als dunkel gefärbten snythie-pop. nach seinem debüt urban gothic erscheint sein zweites album nun bei rock action, dem label der musiker von mogwai. folgende assoziationen tauchen in besprechungen zu seiner musik immer wieder auf: der soundtrack zu dem spielfilm drive, der soundtrack zu assault on precinct 13 von john carpenter, daft punk, die interessanten schaffens-phasen von künstlern wie tangerine dream oder kraftwerk. california chrome jedenfalls wagt den spagat zwischen atmosphärischen synthiesoundscapes und rhythmischen knallern wie etwa dem track buckle bunny. seine musik ist instrumental realisiert und überzeugt bei titeln wie basilisk stare auch mit wunderbaren melodien, die sich für eine nachtfahrt auf autobahnen ideal als soundtrack anbieten. die vinyl-lp erscheint inklusive downloadcode.

ltd 50 % deal, o.xander is back on nous for another jaunt into textured techno rhythms all sewn together with a cheeky side eye on diverting off the obvious path and sustaining a reticence for anything too formal.ep opener snowspeeder blues is a glacial skitter around pitch perfect retro-techno territories, while thru our veins harnesses the eternal power of acid and a perfect balance takes a wry slo-mo lens to the synth-core sound.over on side b we are back in the acid zone for full spectrum, if a more mournful and disquieting rendition of that genre, with the junipers dub version squirming through a gauzy terra firma of dim lit detroit design.

unrelated is back with black as night ep by vesàlio ( kapvt mvndi ) side project of livio improta, vesàlio was born from the necessity to change something in his way of producing. less rhythm section and more emphasis on the atmosphere and field recordings, the last one the essential part of this project. a1 - in “n at alba- the concept of vesàlio is pure,clear, and deep , where the atmosphere is the main character of the track. a2 - -black as night” probably is the conflict between the two artistical parts, dark and despondent sounds, in contrast with the rthythm of the drum section. the perfect sound for a science fiction movie, totally mysterious ! b - o.xander (nous disques) decided to solve it bringing back the track into a classic raw theme with his antartica reshape

a1- o.xander with paaliaq provides a subtle and analog house track. percussive drums, 4 to the floor kick, slow acid bass-line, shy and hypnotic notes create a perfect club track . a2 - dome zero by sunn boo is a melancholic and hypnotic house track. the subtle but really deep bass-line perfects the track. b1 - maintain illusions by the paris based producer raär, is a journey to the unknown. harsh acid line, bumpy and jerky kicks, brillant hi-hats and hammering snare make you stagger. b2 - engaging proxima-b by the berlin based artist ahi is spatial track. no drums, only pads, textures and fx to make you dive into an oppressive, heavy but beautiful journey.
