congratulations to brian “javonntte” garrett, who this year celebrates two decades releasing mind-expanding deep house gold. his first 12&#8243, of 2018 sees him pop up on people of earth, a label that has previously delivered eps from such scene stalwarts as rick wade, patrice scott and kai alce. fittingly, garrett is in a nostalgic mood on opener “way back-, where his deep, dreamy and soul-flecked deep house groove is accompanied by a spoken word vocal reminiscing about the mid 1990s. elsewhere, “zodiac” wraps starbust motifs around a chunky, bass-heavy groove, “house joint” is a bumpin’ box jam rich in sturdy drum machine hits and swirling chords, and “boom house” is a slightly tougher workout that boasts beats worthy of derrick carter or dj sneak.

the final part to the limited edition hi five mobilee! vinyl series features tracks from mobilees head lady, anja schneider, and one of the very first artists on the mobilee roster, sebo k. each of the artists careers have grown and flourished with the label, and whilst retaining many elements from their signature styles, these tracks also show how they have developed their sound over the last five years. sebo ks way back comes with a funky house bass line and colorful synths, creating a very full and warm sound, and one that is topped with an element of old school vibes. as with all of his releases, its classically built for the dance floor and one that will be enjoyed by many. meanwhile, anja schneiders >something left<, has a more minimal and isolated feel to it, broken up with the soulful voice of cari golden. completely contrasting to sebo ks a side, it makes this an interestingly varied release!

iron curtis is a berlin based young producer. his debut release on tensnakes mirau was supported a lot from many djs and deetron picked his track to his mix cd on music man. this his third release contains three unique touch detroitish house tracks. title track of >großreuth 1< is a winner of this ep. it reminds old school detroit house track and simply effective in the club. this track will be useful dj tool for any house and techno djs. >save the night<, >80 g< on the opposite side are little bit more deep house style. i would like to recommend these tracks to the fan of underground quality or that kind of underground house.
