“we hope you enjoy listening to our music as much as we enjoy performing it for you!” that’s how tommy mccook used to greet to the audience by at every performance of the skatalites that he hosted. since reforming after an almost 20 year hiatus in 1983, and beginning regular touring as a unit in 1989, they have not stopped thrilling audiences in every corner of the globe. even after 48 years, and various lineup changes as members leave one stage for another, the band continues to perform and record new music in the inimitable jamaican style, like only they can.

david lynch twin peaks kinofilm von 1992 erhielt 3 internationale auszeichnungen (alle für den kult-soundtrack von angelo badalamenti) und 5 weitere nominierungen. nach dem serien soundtrack und vor der neuen serienfortsetzung in 2017 erscheint auch dieser nun im neuen deluxe-format. das 180g doppel-vinyl erscheint in remastered qualität in kirschroter farbe und befindet sich in einem gatefold-sleeve, das wiederum von einem schwarz lackierten, formschön ausgestanzten aussenschuber umgeben und mit einem obi strip komplettiert wird. das neue artwork wurde sowohl von regisseur david lynch, als auch vom komponisten angelo badalamenti freigegeben. die neuen sleevenotes stammen von filmkritiker mark kermode.

new dutch label with its roots in the west coast italo disco scene. teaming up with long time buddy fred ventura sfera celeste project combines the melancholy of vintage italo disco with the black funk of man parrish and the mysterious atmosphere that good new wave used to have. pretty essential and highly limited (480 hand numbered copies) for the real heads. these guys come in the tradition of the earliest electronic dance music and show their love for man and machine. interesting new label and desirable first release!
