bosconi records has long been renowned as arguably italy s foremost exporter of house and techno music. 10 years in, they celebrate one decade in the game courtesy of bosconi stallions volume 2features some of the label s most prominent names.

teona will lead the third and penultimate stallions gallop along with home bosconi records. starting from dry scream by alex picone, a forest full of warm sounds and rough that only analogue instruments and a tape recording can give. follows, always on side a, quanto tempo ci rimane a track of the mysterious matrix nightdrivers edited in terms of house by label boss fabio corcos. the vinyl rotates, thoroughbred gallop in the b side, where they find themselves in a syncopated bassline with dirty vibes of i.f.ms, aka marcello napoletano and fran mela, and a broken rhythm and essential characterized by a hypnotic groove that aims at creating an atmosphere featuring in dark clouds, produced by young people from home bosconi, herva and marco daquino aka lifes track.

the first of the four records of the saga bosconi stallions is here: in honor to apacz between house and disco, he will be the first thoroughbred that will guide us through the first stage of this historic project that will revolutionize bosconi records. in his adventure will come accompanied by herva foal to race, with its powerful stay, followed by rondenion with the dawning output sunrize that bridges the solar put the man out of riccio until the darkest voices of san proper & the clover. it is the beginning of a long ride but absolutely pleasure.

for the second installment of the stallions saga, bosconi records entrusts the fate of the muscular thoroughbred neged. the stallion is flanked by five stallions at an older age and with four tracks have a responsibility to drive the seductive ride, set synergy between uk, bass and balearic sounds.

very special release on bosconi from soulboy riccio just few months after his astonishing disco burner -put the man out- on the stallions compilation and the acclaimed releases on fly by night and slow town. this time our disco wizard delivers with the track pretty eyes, according to us, one of his best piece of music to date!

now hitting release number six, fly by night music serves up something slightly different from riccio (bosconi // super value), complete with a remix from craig smith (6th borough project), for its latest offering. this is an equally classy release but more of an obvious disco tip. coming in a press of 200 limited blue vinyl and a letter press sleeve, this is another boutique package from fbnm. the man behind the jungle way ep is italian riccardo zanaroli aka riccio, who most recently appeared on the widely lauded bosconi compilation bosconi stallions. a dj, collector, producer and record seller, riccio is a staple on the italian scene and brings plenty of louche disco funk to this release.

this time we dug deep to find seth yender and his bring me joy ep. our newest slab of wax features only the finest detroit-inspired techno & house. his proximity to the beretta crew and the motor city lends the grit to the a side bring me joy - its a warehouse kinda vibe we almost just forgot about.

lovefingers and nitedog return to their blackdisco label for the 10th release! straight up fun party jams for 4 different moments in the night. lovefingers starts off side a with the pumping macho disco america (cut from a freaky italian 45 and a stallions staple) and nitedogs anonstop project throws down the mid-tempo bassline bobber martial arts. on side b, lovefingers drops a funky/junky eastern guitar stomp on slim jim (another freaky 45, this time french), and nitedogs anonstop project closes out with a super funky warm burner. primates. all heat, no bullshit, and of course… no repress!

mystery meat kicks off 2010 with quite the bang. a veritable nyc disco supergroup comprised of runaways jacques renault and fellow brooklynite lee douglas, now of both tbd and stallions fame, join the mystery meat club with two certifiable dancefloor bombs. 2009 was an incredible year for both gents with a steady steam of original releases and remixes, spanning all manner of house and disco, and dj gigs the world over

prepare to enter the sombrero galaxy. journey to the centre of the sun, the debut release from lovefingers highly anticipated imprint esp institute, is a collaborative effort from londoner jonny nash (discosession) and dutchman tako reyenga. the two met years ago whilst jonny was working and living in tokyo and tako made his way over to dj. around the same time, lovefingers linked up with these two and a musical family had formed. that being told, its only natural for sombrero galaxy to find its home and represent the face of the esp insitute. journey to the centre of the sun is a dive into a moody, visceral and ethereal headspace brought to life through shimmering synthesizers, swirling guitars and a chugging bassline coupled with live percussion, clearly setting the bar higher than the bulk of contemporary electronic music. on the b side, the stallions (lovefingers and lee douglas) reinterpret the track with optimism, nicely complimenting the original with a light and cloudy yet driving house version. this is the music of dreams, keep an eye on esp institute in this new decade.

nobody cared was recorded by brendan lynch in london, whilst stallions suite was recorded in ny by lovefingers and lee douglas, the stallions is douglas and lovefingers joint alias. both tracks were recorded earlier this year.

redux hit their 9th release with the second offering from the very talented musician/ songwriter known simply as fernando. first appearing on the label with his solid cover of kick in the eye by legendary goth rockers bauhaus. fernando gained instant support from many djs and tastemakers, showing the world that he got the full package when it comes to being a talented recording artist .now hes back again to unleash the first of his original solo material from his forthcoming debut album, guaranteed to be a firm favourite with disco stallions , pump rockers and bearded ladies. scarecrows kicks the e.p off , setting the tone immediately with a rock steady bass groove , crisp synth stabs and catchy vocal snippets (from another famous goth influence) sprinkled on top that will stick in your head for days .bladerunner ups the energy a notch with some lively drums and a beefy bassline sure to shake any waistline (one size fits all). weird trippy textures and surging synth sounds keep it moving and occupy your brain whilst the groove kidnaps your feet and hips on the dancefloor.on remix duty is croatia s leading light and all round nice guy ilija rudiman. taking a slightly different approach for scarecrows, giving the track a deeper, moody feeling but still keeping the essence of the original. subtle pads and acid lines weave in and out as the groove pushes on and draws you closer in, dropping in to the break down and sending you off singing doop doop doop do do. this 12inch clearly showcases some of the freshest talent thats coming through the ranks and will instantly appeal to fans of reverso 68, tensnake and emperor machine to name a few strong examples. if youre feeling this then be sure to keep an eye/ear out for fernandos debut album coming soon on reduxà. this is just a taster
