nach vier jahren im studio, in denen sie ihren perfektionismus und ihre liebe zum detail bis aufs Äußerte zelebriert haben, veröffentlichen blek le roc nun ihr gleichnamiges debüt-album. das indie-pop-trio überrascht den zuhörer mit einem filigranen und doch satten sound, der so ungewöhnlich wie fesselnd ist. ihre musik ist keinem schema verhaftet. beinahe schüchtern fasst sie den zuhörer mit dem ersten ton, umklammert ihn immer fester und lässt ihn in andächtiger stille wieder warten. ohne pathos. die songs erzählen geschichten des scheiterns, des fragens, des wartens. sie sind offen für die interpretationen der hörer. alles ist mehrdeutig. scheitern kann hier auch aufbruch bedeuten. ist warten nicht gleichzeitig veränderung? es gibt keine klarheit …

achtung, babyboomers und digital-ureinwohners: fettes brot doktert sich mit der hausinternen zeitmaschine retour in die hinteren jahre des vorherigen jahrtausends und buddelt die ersten vier eigenen 90s-hip hop-meilensteine wieder aus. anders ausgedrückt: es gab ein leben vor dem internetz und die vorstadtkrokos von fettes brot planschten damals schon im haifischbecken musikindustrie. doch, wer weiß das noch? auf den febro-konzerten der letzten 10 jahre lief kaum mehr classic material als jein, nordisch by nature und da draussen, die tonträger bis 2000 gab s seit fünf sommern nur noch 2nd hand zu kaufen und null davon je legal-digital. nur: die bevölkerung braucht das. zum glück hören die 3 partypiepen manchmal sogar zu und schworen sogleich besserung. das brot der frühen jahre erscheint endlich wieder in vier frischen portionen auf lp - neu gemastert in old school stereo, erweitert um einen batzen bonüsse (b-seiten, remixe, features, demos und live-perlen), verziert mit luftigen lebenslügen der 3, ergänzt um reichlich zwielichte zeitzeugenberichte und zugeschüttet mit einem füllhorn verschollener fotos.

heroes ist einer meiner absoluten all-time favorites und der song funktioniert auch auf deutsch richtig gut, sagt doro pesch und erzählt von ihrer persönlichen verbindung zum verstorbenen mega-star bowie: wir sind uns in den 90er jahren ziemlich regelmäßig im berühmten new yorker sir-studio begegnet, da wir beide dort oft geprobt oder songs aufgenommen haben. bowies gitarrist earl slick hat auch auf meinem 1995er album machine ii machine den song in freiheit stirbt mein herz gespielt.

für ihren nächsten törn hat die crew von acker records eine polnische skipperin angeheuert, die den exotischen namen an on bast trägt. mit heiterer leichtigkeit steuert sie seaman with a lap dog durch die schweren, wogenden subfrequenzen, angefeuert vom hypnotischen ruf der seeleute. für das minimale everything is possible navigiert sie entlang einer dichten wand aus brummendem bass, im mysteriösen zwielicht zeichnen sich geisterhafte klangfiguren ab. nach einer schwungvollen wende übergibt die fahrensfrau das ruder an mollono.bass, der seinen remix zu seaman with a lap dog unter straffer rhythmischer takelage in einen geheimnisvollen melodienebel manövriert. und die fahrt ist noch nicht zu ende, für die gemächliche passage durch das surreale bermuda-dreieck der klänge übernimmt erneut an on bast das kommando. so endet die reise mit ferret stories da, wo sie begonnen hat, in aufbruchstimmung und mit fernweh. achtung - everythings possible enthält starke krissel geräusche - dies ist so gewollt !
achtung, warning, balushi is out with two new techno bombs for the summer. on the a side let me be myself is a deep aquatic adventure with a huge basline chugging along. there are some deep dark underwater effects and vocal snippets which develop into a deep stabby groove that hypnotizes anyone listening to the track. there is then a break with a beautiful vocal derived from the snippets that refreshes the listener and takes them into another dimension before bringing them back into the heavy hipnotic groove. on the aa side we have the path one hell of a tecno crossover designed to electrify and rock summer crowds all globally...with a funky meaty bassline that rolls on and perfectly complements both rasta vocals and crazy electronic synths and squelches the path is a fat groove to look out for on the hottest dancefloors...
