bastian heerhorst and patrick meissner from hamburg, first met each other in the end of the 90s by their common love for graffiti. inspired by the hamburg night live, they decided very soon to work creatively together, also for their music productions. because of bastians long time experience in electronic music and the revolutionary development of the virtual instruments, the two guys were fast able to obtain quite dancable results, also with a small budget. begun with the rather modest possibilities of a 4-tracker on the amiga and the first live-acts with a groovebox, bastians liking to produce and to experiment with all possible styles grew. since also patrick came in contact with electronic music in hamburg s scene already early, it was somehow predetermined that in the future not only walls, but also dancefloors gonna be rocked. the project >heerhorst & meissner< was born and with kompass musik a label was found, which was courageous enough to publish the first tracks of duo…
we are happy to welcome on this 5th release one of the most important argentinian producers, franco cinelli, well known for his recent album on alphahouse, played by the most important minimal das around the the globe.he is finally back on the young spanish label esperanza with a couple of tracks, accompanied by a mikael stavostrand remix.on the a side we have a funky course track, >antenna<, characterized by his typical fat and vibrating bassline, thin and cleverly placed hi-hat patterns and unexpected bubbling delayed bleeps.this is the perfect to change the gear of the dj set from a warmup session to a serious rockin party, thanx its energetic restart after a mid breaking pause.>oscilator one< on a 2 goes more hypnotic though mantaining a funk rate, thanks to a huge variety of cycling loops featuring a dubby bassline and an appreciable rhythmic pattern.on b side we have >antenna 2< wich is remixed with knowledge by the swedish artist mikael stravostrand, bringing it much percussive on start and effective in every kind dancefloor, all that enriched by an exceptinal vocal performance by big bully that definte lyx make it a true bomb to detonate in the right moment of the night
