nycs legendary sam records dropped the mysteriously named k.i.d.s dont stop- in 1981. it has it all trancey arpeggios, vocoders & vocals trading off with each other, brass & some heavyweight disco drums that helped propel it forth into the hallowed category of club classic. the record perfectly suited the open minds and open ears of discerning disc jocks in locales such as new york and chicago where this sublime piece of electronic disco sleaze would get plenty burn on the city s infamous wbmx thus having a huge impact, along with a whole host of other similar records, on the burgeoning house scene that was germinating in the fertile mid western soil. b-side cut do it again is a pleasant enough early 80 s disco jam, but compared to the futuristic burner that is dont stop on the other side theres one clear winner. a must have for all cosmic, disco, funk aficionados. now made available again, legitimately licensed, remastered and reissued in conjunction with sam records new york city.

skyrager presents the first in a series of dance floor edits designed for optimum peak set destruction! beat girl/wonderful is already generating heat on worldwide dance-floors in the skilled hands of crack selectors including hunee, lovefingers, mark e and more.beat girl is our a-side, a heavy, throbbing ebm monster. like something discovered on a long lost belgian white label with it s sharp french femme-fatale monologue and nagging acid bass-line. trust us, this one sounds ultra-heavy on the system! things get a little sexual about halfway through and then those guitars kick in, yes, guitars, scuzzed out, fuzzed out chords run rampant over this beast and you re gonna love it. this is that sleaze, put your phone away, pick up the amyl and jack. wonderful is just that, a ridiculously rare south african (!) cover of italo overlords klein & mbo s cut of the same name. there shouldn t be much more to say here, but you should know that it s a stellar combo of hypnotic drum machine rhythms, mind melting synth bass-lines and super dreamy spoken word vocals. its almost as if she s speaking directly to you as you lose yourself in the smoke and lazers, let go, you know you want to.

this label is founded by hungarian producer depthon (a contraction of the words -depth- and -on-) with a nonsensical approach to music. as said in the label s statement, the music released hereon, is also a reflection of the mindset of this techno artist. he came a long way, crawling through different genres but ending up in his favorite and most versatile style. and in january, his very first physical release of music will happen on his own imprint. an ep on black gold loaded with 4 weapons that are ready to add up to every quality techno mix and also will destroy the dance floor. 3 of depthon s own works and in addition a remix by glaswegian techno prodigy and sleaze records labelhead hans bouffmhyre. -last train- is the first pulsating and powerful track that works as the opening window of this ep, followed by the remix by bouffmyhre, which could could be described as an immaculate upgrade to the original. on the flipside, it s -faded- that is exemplary to the saying -less is more-: dark and simple pads on a compelling background that surely will keep one s attention throughout the course. last but not least is -timelapse- that contrary to the other tracks uses high pitched synths as a lead, in combination with hissing hi-hats and a constantly changing scenery.

tasty treats, another side project of the multi-talented ronald burrell dropped this 4 track ep way back in 1993 on the cult citi label out of nyc. as expected the tracks contained within have all the facets of that magical burrell sound healthy doses of soul, sleaze, deepness, late night atmosphere and that solid, no nonsense ny/nj house attitude, for the heads, the dancers, the all nighters and the freaks! this is pure shelter/garage joy! the burrell brothers back catalog is just ridiculous in terms of releases, styles and quality control and this ep sits comfortably up there with some of their classics. an all round solid ep for all true house music lovers regardless of area code or geography! %100 legit re-issue, re-mastered and brought back for the summer 2015 flex - dont snooze!

hardway bros (otherwise known as sean johnston of a love from outer space) returns to throne of blood with their second ep. after successfully exploring belgian new beat influences on last years *a/b music / shorty* release, sean continues to explore the darker side of vintage electronic tropes with the sleaze ep.

after the very successful foray into split eps, luv shack records continues to explore this concept with luv013. the ep sees upcoming duo space echo make a return after their smash hit -soul power-, while the b-side is conducted by wahlberliner rotciv. -come back home-, the opening track by space echo, is a slowly building but effortlessly captivating piece of hypnotic house music with a raw funk attitude. the gently evolving synth line and the strong vocal hook are the spine of this anthemic track. the seemingly laid back -hangover- just oozes b-movie sleaze and might be space echos little hommage to 60 s lounge music, with an array of distorted guitars and soft pads coming to good use. that is until the synth theme kicks in mid-track and turns the piece into a late night weapon.
