with a little delay , after returned the borrowed yogurt, we are ready to travel around a new and far star called ‘tabby’, in samuel jabba’s company. our mission is to convince the tabby’s inhabitants to “say no to a trivial life” and enjoy it with us.

doug cooney has cultivated his knowledge of techno over many years. doug’s passion for this craft runs deep and his dj sets span the full spectrum of techno, past and present. his style and attention to detail have earned him warm up sets for many of his techno heroes, with dave clarke, uvb and abstract division being recent highlights. as well as being a mutate resident, he also plays regular headline slots in dublin’s biggest venues & has played several gigs abroad taking a trip to berlin’s arena club last year featuring on the same line up as adam x & the dystopian record labels jon hester.

orbis x is a sublabel of orbis records and will be mainly focusing on softer yet often usable as dj material for the broader mass interested in electronic music. this sublabel is an extension of orbis records softer, more melodical and experimental side.

they share a similar taste for music, detroit techno. before they worked together, dennis experimented with deep house through digital synths and learned the ins and outs of programming music in logic.
stephan was well known with the detroit techno scene. his passion goes out to well balanced electronic music with hypnotizing emotional feeling to it. add a layer of atmospheric grooves on top of that and you have the perfect blend to potential timeless music.
soon enough they made the switch to analog gear to be able to create a cleaner and better sound. after three years of hard work, they have reached the sound they were looking for. and this is it!

dzar, a new experimental techno project from marseille, aiming to explore advanced interactions and capabilities between modern analog hardware and digital tools. after a decay releasing house music under the alias of damien zala, dzar is dedicated to a more minimalist approach of electronic music. inspired by graphic design, architecture, and numeric arts.

with his first ep on orbis, binny is ramping it up, once again. we’re very pleased & honoured to host him, his 11th appearance on a vinyl record so far. someone to watch out for! on the b-side, lee holman takes it to the raw side of analogue techno.

mslwte, does the name ring a bell? james calls himself a techno experimentalist and he sure is! as a co-owner of subsekt, he sure knows how to turn those knobs. dirty, rough, experimental, twisted dark techno. you will love it.

uk-based adam cummings aka binny is back. his third appearance in our 5 years existence. another ep that shows his skills & deep affinity with the detroit sound, he blew our mind again with his tremendous honest analog sound & brilliant arrangement. absolutely fan-tas-tic!

quite simply, mike storms one target is one of my favourite techno tracks of this year. intense, funky, hypnotic, this is a total bomb. full support in the clubs and charting on ra and juno. thought it would be hard to follow up binnys millsian madness but this release fucking rocks mate, cant wait to get it on vinyl

character has many forms. musical interests too. mr.mau shows his deeper side in this very diverse ep, translated in three brilliant tracks. inspired by many other artists, he managed combine the hardware and software into a must have ep for people who want to experience the essence of the style of life thats called techno: a broad way of interpretation and translating feelings into music.

david nizet has been around in the belgian underground techno scene for ages, we mean early nineties. he was part of the 6th sense collective during the mid 90s with releases on dave angels rotation and the legendary belgian label re-load records. despite a detroitish nostalgic touch in his productions, small modern minimalist influences gently creep in to all his tracks to turn them into brilliant pieces of never outdated, or should we say evergreen, techno.
with past releases on aesthetik, mowar, labrynth and played by marcel fengler, markus suckut, matt o brien, jamie behan, .. (the list is too long actually), he is definitely up there with the big ones.

hot on the heels of his recent highly acclaimed ellum release: lurking wolves, shall ocin is back with a double header of hedoinistic proportions. the a side, obris is an uptempo electro-disco infused, bleep-tastic, floor-shreader of a tune. next up is the killer austral, another heavy as hell slice of sonic weaponry. another great release from shall ocin which is being heavily championed by maceo plex, danny daze and gardens of god, amongst others

following the release of his debut album home & garden, jay shepheard returns to his own retrofit imprint to present the albums remix ep. label friends locked groove and jacques renault remix two much love and type one a respectively, while jay takes the reins himself to rework 48 stacey and orbis tertius.

cosmic journey, the monster 303 dominator of a lead cut on this 3-track release from moscows denis a looks like being the biggest release so far from this new label. but really this is all about the monstrous groove that denis a creates with some superb 303 tweaking and peaking that makes this track an instant dancefloor smash. over on the b side sadalmelik and orbis novus are both excellent explorations into tech territory, with catchy melodies, and more minimal styling. perfect for creating a mood, and no less captivating.
